Really like the comfort, the sound is really pretty good. These were purchased for outdoor and on the go use but not for travel on a plane (noise canceling rules that area for me).I also have the focal elegias, which do produce more detail but at the cost of weight and a rather clinical sound (ie a bit dry). These seem to have struck a decent balance between clarity and listenability. I am connecting them on the go to an Astell&Kern sr35, and, as others have noted, the source does matter. I prefer open back for at home use, so not concerned with them on my home system. So, in short, really nice headphones for my intended use. PS the blue is really more grey-blue, so rather subtle.

My first unit had significant channel imbalance and needed to be returned.Second unit is great. Sounds and looks good.

The Focal Azurys do not do much well in the sound department, they are very nice looking and comfortable, but they cost to much for the sound quality they produce. I have had Focal Clear in the past and they were very good, also had Focal Elegia, those while a bit dull and flawed, are superior to the Azurys in most ways (Detail retrieval, tuning, and soundstage)The Good: The Focal Azurys have a old timey, thick lower midrange that may appeal to some, with lots of bass that will appeal to more modern listeners, with plenty of punch and slam.The Bad: While not a deal breaker, these have a microscopic soundstage, its a incredibly small ball of sound that sounds like everything is being compressed into the palm of your hand, like there is something in the way of the sound. The bass is impactful, but not well defined, the lower midrange is veiled (it sounds like vocalists have a face mask on while singing) it is a rich sound so it can be soulful at times, at best it makes higher pitch singers sound richer, but lower pitch singers sound muffled. The highs are rolled off and lack any kind of sense of air or staging.The Ugly: At $400 these are to much, sure they are nice, but I think the Apple Airpods Max are both superior to this product, with better tuning, soundstage and detail retrieval. If your in the market for a closed back, imo the Fiio FT1 (While not perfect) is a better product. Or if you want something nicer, a second hand pair of Dan Clark Closed X or Noire are a big step up from the Azurys.Focal makes great headphones, having had the Clear and Elegia, the Clear specifically is excellent, this is far removed from what makes those classic Focals great. It is sad, because the closed back market needs something great in this price range, these aren't it.

I have these and the HD600’s. The HD600 is an opened back and this is a closed back. I wanted something more private and these do the trick. They still have sound leakage but it’s fine as long as you don’t have anyone who’s bothered by that or can volume them down when in company. Anyways they are incredible, I think if you don’t care about the sound leakage to get the open back Hadeny’s because apparently they’re just like this but better as open back relatives often are. The Azury’s are really good though and I had heard some review from a YouTuber who owns all the focal headphones and said these are on par with the best of them and very enjoyable to listen. I am enjoying them very much, I love the colour way. The pads are a bit smaller but I swapped them out for dekoni leather pads and those are a bit more spacious without effective the sound signature negatively. Spend the money on yourself, you deserve it. Music is so intertwined with our lives and who knows the vibe may just boost your productivity and end up paying for itself. God bless.
