I have no experience with any other brand of fire starters. Without that comparison, these work great. They're tightly wound and can burn a long time if you wish. You can also unwind them and get a huge flame for a shorter duration. They light easily and don't easily blow out.

These are a great fire starter. They light fast and work well to get the fire going. They are a good size to stay burning long enough to start the fire. Definitely a great value for the amount you get in the box. We use these to start our fire for our wood stove. I highly recommend them.

I live in New Hampshire and use a wood stove to heat the majority of the house..so I make a fire multiple times a day during the day. Typically, if i time it right, I only have to use firestarter early in the morning as during the day, hot coals are generated to light new wood. I was buying boxes of firestarter (40 count/box) from another vendor that worked really well, but I decided, since I went through 4 boxes this season, to order the 100 pack from this vendor to try them out in preparation for next season. It's at the end of our burning season. Ordering was easy and delivery was as expected. The first thing I noticed in comparison to the other venders product, was that these firestarters are smaller..in shape, diameter and size. They light easily and provide about 5 minutes of burning time...casting a smaller flame and sometimes not long enough to light my firewood. In some cases, I had to use two firestarters to light the wood. So far, honestly, I am not sure if this was a good idea to buy them, though in most cases they did the job. I just like the fact it was a 100 pack. I will see how they work next season when it is cold outside. At this point, I recommend them and will update this review next burning season.

I had been buying much smaller packs of a name brand for a few years until I stumbled onto these!! Great for starting any charcoal or campfire quickly and safely! We carry these camping to make our lives a lot easier. Definitely worth the price!

These fire starters are fantastic! I live in a pecan Orchard and there are always limbs falling that have to be picked up before I mow. So I have a large place that I use for a burn pile and I only have to place four or five of these around the pile and light them up. They're easy to light and they burn a long time. I highly recommend these and will purchase more.

These are a great fire starter. They light fast and work well to get the fire going. They are a good size to stay burning long enough to start the fire. Definitely a great value for the amount you get in the box. We use these to start our fire for our wood stove. I highly recommend them.
