They are gentle and effective. Reliable. And you will notice benefits you probably weren't expecting. Highly recommend. They are pretty flat, and not too big. The size is not a problem, and you can easily break them in half if you like. They aren't coated, so they don't go down my throat as fast as a capsule would. They don't taste too bad. I don't mind them. Just don't expect to gulp them down with your last sip of water. You will need a good glass of water with them anyway, so they can work properly. I haven't noticed any stomach upset. I really like these, and won't go back to any other type of laxatives. I'm pleased with this brand's quality and effectiveness. I tried another brand, too, since this supplement is new to me, and inexpensive. I like the other brand too. When I repurchase, I am not sure which brand I'll get. I like that I know exactly the dose of each fruit with this one. The other, and many other brands as well, are a proprietary blend, which is always a little iffy. As long as you are good at taking pills, you cannot go wrong with this one.

Being on a high-protein low carb diet, I've found triphala supplements to be essential for regularity. I've tried several brands. All work well. Usually the suggested dose is 2 capsules twice a day. I get results in half a day taking 2, but still get decent regularity taking one cap twice a day. Viva Doria is an effective brand. The caps are a bit large but go down easily. I would order these again, though I wish they made an organic version. However, there are NO added substances or fillers except for the vegetable cellulose, which is a big plus in my book.
