Outstanding album! This is yet another great remastered set by this band! So much detail in their music has come to the forefront making it feel like you are listening to the songs for the first time! I hope Relayer is next on the list to release in Dolby Atmos!

Was a little concerned buying used, but everything came in like new condition for an excellent price. Happy to have this in my collection!

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice recording of classic album

S.A.L. · May 10, 2025

This is a nice set featuring the "Fragile" album. Roundabout, Heart of the Sunrise are featured. Rick Wakeman has a Moog adaption of Brahms 4th Symphony, third movement which is nice to listen to. Overall, this is a nice acquisition for people who like yes. Jon Anderson and Bill Bruford are on this album.

Fabulous remastering on the definitive reissue of Yes Fragile in a super deluxe box set. Many hours of excellent listening pleasure.🤘

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value

R. · January 18, 2025

I was nervous at first, since the album came in a very large box and was rattling around inside. Usually, Bolo uses a large outer box, and then an LP mailer inside. Not this time. When I opened it, it was in perfect condition. No corner bends, no creases. Perfect. I had gone to the Rhino site, and had seen this for 99.00. I then went to Bolo because I knew if they had it, it'd be delivered faster than Rhino. Not only did Bolo have it, but it was on sale for $54.82. What a deal! If this deal is still available, and you're a fan of Yes and Fragile, don't delay. Buy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars We Have Heaven

G.J. · June 29, 2024

Yes released their fourth album Fragile on November 12, 1971 and it was recorded from August 11 through September 5 at Advision, Fitzrovia in London. Fragile is an all time classic album and features a number of signature songs that were radio staples for decades (Roundabout, Long Distance Runaround, Heart of the Sunrise among others). I don't think I've ever met or heard from a Yes fan that doesn't love this album. The artwork is great and it's the first one by Roger Dean. This book/box comes with a nice reprint of the original booklet as well. The vinyl was mastered by Bernie Grundman. This is a Super Deluxe four cd/blu ray/vinyl release. The first disc features a new remaster of the original mix. The second disc is a new Steven Wilson mix and an instrumental version of the songs with lyrics. This is a new mix and not the one released in 2015. All of disc three and a chunk of disc four is given to the singles, alternative versions, outtakes and a couple of new edits. The fourth disc ends with live versions of Long Distance Runaround / The Fish (Schindleria Praematurus), Perpetual Change and Yours Is No Disgrace recorded on February 19th, 1972 at the Academy of Music in New York City. Sadky, the first couple have some cuts but this is apparently all that's in the vault. The blu ray features: 2024 Steven Wilson Dolby Atmos Mix, 2024 5.1 Mix DTS-HD MA, 2024 Stereo Remix, 2024 Stereo Remaster, 2024 Instrumental Mix.

5.0 out of 5 stars A nice package if you missed the Blu-ray release the first time around

T. · September 29, 2024

When the first Steven Wilson/Yes series came out I missed this one and the prices shot up. I don't know if there is a great reason to pay a premium for this if you did catch that earlier release. For the most part, this is the original album released several different ways (remix, instrumental, original, etc) along with a few singles and other unique edits. There's a lot of repetition. If you have the ability to play LP's then that might be the single biggest selling point. My copy was well pressed and it's an excellent mastering. I haven't pulled out my nothing-special US Atlantic LP to compare, but I know the album well and this is a nice version. It's also not particularly lavish. Again, I think I paid under $50 for it. At that price, it's fine. $80 seems borderline given the lack of super compelling new material, but I certainly have enjoyed it.

4.0 out of 5 stars And We Look On As Pawns Of Their Game . . .

h. · August 30, 2024

As other reviewers have pointed out, much already released material is tethered to some "newly discovered, previously unreleased" rarities which many of us are compelled to purchase. My particular weakness is the older live recordings. On balance I am still happy with the whole package and the price. I really miss the large format during the heyday of the album era, especially considering the Roger Dean - Yes collaboration. CD size artwork doesn't cut it.My only complaint is that Perpetual Change ends abruptly just when Bill Bruford begins his solo. What's up with that? Was that the moment when he up and quit the band?

A beautiful boxset but mostly previously released

P.W. · June 29, 2024

(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } It is great to have all of the content for Yes’ Fragile album in one place but the truth is that a huge portion of this boxset was already released 10 years ago. For the serious Yes collector, it is disc 4 (further rarities) which contains the unreleased goodies. If you have not purchased the previous releases then this boxset will be essential. For those who already have previous releases then you need to decide if spending £100 for one disc of new material is the way to go. If you do decide to purchase then the content of disc 4 is excellent. All of the alternative takes are very interesting. The alternative version of The Fish includes elements which Chris Squire used in his live version on Yessongs. One big error which has been made however is to include the new track “The Dean” which is not Yes but is by Terry Reid which Alan White previously drummed for . The tapes got mixed up during production of this boxset and the error was not spotted. The live tracks from the Academy of music show in 1972 are absolutely fantastic. I have waited for this for 50 years. The tracks are beautifully recorded and are atmospheric. It is however hugely frustrating that editing has taken place. Long distance runaround fades in three quarters of the way through and Perpetual Change fades out at the point where Bill Brufords drum solo begins. Why this has happened is mystifying. The cynic in me wonders whether the whole show is being saved for a future release. I do hope so but why only give us incomplete material in this set. That aside, this is a beautiful boxset and it contains more new content than the previous “Yes album” boxset. For me I just had to have the unreleased content and so they had me once again by my short and curlys.
