Description:
In a bitter divorce settlement from her billionaire husband Rupert Mannion (Anthony Head), Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham) becomes the new owner of AFC Richmond, a struggling British English Premier League football team. She's assisted by her garden gnome Director of Communications (and later Director of Football Operations) Leslie Higgins (Jeremy Swift), who formerly worked for her husband. Her first order of business is to fire the team's current manager and replace him with American football coach Theodore "Ted" Lasso (Jason Sudeikis). Formerly a small-time coach from Wichita Kansas, Ted and his friend, assistant Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt) cross the pond to take up the management of the team's long, albeit modest history. Although he is nationally ridiculed for doing something so stupid, Ted works to change the team's profound mediocrity. Richmond is about to change the way they're doing things, from now on, it's the Lasso way. There is little more than you can ask from a show than what Ted Lasso delivers. It's hilariously funny even after several watches through the seasons in their entirety. They're full of heart and beautiful characters. The relationships and jokes that occur between different combinations of the characters just don't grow old. It's truly a work of art to have a show with this much positive meaning, positive influence and innocence while also have superb comedy and language that are not for young children. Richmond Upon Thames (proximal to London, England) is a delightful setting for this incredibly unique story. Full of emotion and absolute replayable comedy - Ted Lasso is one of the best.

"Believe" me this was worth the money. As a gift for a Ted Lasso fan the set even came with a believe poster, which was a big hit. It's a great show that we have watched three times now, and each time we continue to discover new things we missed in the previous viewings. We watched it first on Apple + with a trial subscription, and if there is one downside, I prefer the visual of the subtitle options on my TV verses on the Blue Ray. But that is one tiny disappointment on a wonderful product. Go Richmond!

I'm so excited that there is a way to watch Ted Lasso without having apple tv subscription. You cannot stream it anywhere else or purchase it to stream so DVD's were the next best thing. All my DVD's came in perfect shape and played perfectly. It even came with my very own Believe poster. No complaints here. Just an amazingly written, inspiring, funny show to entertain everyone.

You just want to hug Ted Lasso - quirky and so loveable. An eternal optimist who believes in others. All of the characters in this TV show are interesting, well defined, and brilliantly played by the actors. You do not need to know anything about soccer (football anywhere outside of North America) - this is a show about the relationship between the characters and the soccer context just provides the setting. It tackles universal themes such as identity, relationships, death, love, friendships, ambitions and ego.Season 1 was light and funny. It's the season that made people fall in love with this show. It sets up the characters and the story. Episodes were around 30 min in length.Season 2 got a little darker, exploring issues of mental health. It felt more real, but less comedic. Still great though.Season 3 took the focus a bit less on the main characters and let the other characters blossom. Episodes were around 45 min long.This is hands down one of the best TV show out there. Well written, well acted, well edited.I agree with many of the other reviewers - it's fantastic to have this available in a physical media, but unfortunate that the packaging is a bit cheap and flimsy. The product image seems to indicate that it will be in a strong cardboard packaging - it is not. I am including images so that you can judge for yourself.No behind the scenes or extras - just the show.And a Believe poster (those of you familiar with the show will know the iconic poster).

Absolutely brilliant, very funny and uplifting. Very very sweary, and even though its about football, it's nothing to do with football (as someone who finds football dull as dishwater, I thought this show was wonderful). Wish there were more shows like this. It gives me hope for humanity.
