Pros- looks oem, great screen and brightness, responsive to clicks and very quick, no connection issues, cic knob controls the screen as it should, all steering wheel functions work, original idrive works well and looks even better, parking sensor screen works well. Lots of ports for all types of connections. Everything is labeled pretty good. Airplay works but you have to disable carplay and use the headunits audio theough the aux cable. However the audio for a show ro movie isnt bad and the airplay is quick and responsive. Keep in mind it wont fill the whole screen because its a different aspect ratio and thats not the screens faultCons- any sliding or scrolling gesture on the screen is tedious and will typixally result in a click. HOWEVER that might be because of the screen and the high friction of my fingers a screen protector especially anti glare should fix that. lots of glare on screen (get a cheap anti glare film on Bolo), built in bluetooth audio and eq is really bad HOWEVER there is a built in option to use the cars bluetooth calling not the aftermarket screens using a separate device for bluetooth audio fixes this issue and rhe carplay retains all its functionality. ( the option routes carplay through wifi so theres no bluetooth audio through the aftermarket screen. The built in microphone is good but for cars that have any mods done to them the gain on the microphone picks up the car and other sounds louder than voice. The bracket seats well but make sure to have good tires and alignment because any harsh vibrations will cause the screen to shake back and forth and sometimes itll start tapping the dashboard. Installation was easy and the manual was very helpful.For its price its an incredible product and its caveats can be fixed with relatively simple alternatives. For the audio use the firefly ldac on Bolo and that will be your bluetooth audio and keep the phone calls to the cars built in calling system!Update*** installed an anti glare screen protector, the screen protector will always give the screen a haziness because of the nature of the prodcut and its function however! Much easier to scroll on the screen and the scrolling of menu items or song lists on spotify is now feasible. However car play itself from apple just sucks for scrolling menus. Even on brand new luxury vehicles scrolling will feel like a chore but now i wont accidentally click anything. LOVE THIS CARPLAY SCREEN FOR THE PRICE.

I bought this for my E90 335. I have a similar one that is Android in my X5 which I prefer. The colors are a bit washed out on this one where the Android one I have is more vibrant. The sound quality isn't that great either. I have the logic 7 system in my car and this sounds weak. The only other complaint I have (for those that have the CIC navigation) is that the mounting frame is angled down a bit. The bracket needs to swivel up a bit. The bracket is also very creaky going over any little bump. I would give this 2 1/2 stars total.

I recently installed this 12.3-inch touchscreen upgrade for my 2010 BMW 3 Series (E90), and it completely transformed my driving experience. The installation was a bit tricky as it required removing parts of the dashboard to connect the wires, but the detailed instructions and support from the customer service team made it manageable. Once everything was hooked up, I was thrilled with the results! The screen is sharp with a 1920x720 HD resolution, and it adjusts automatically between day and night mode based on the car’s headlights, which is a nice touch for driving comfort. Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto work seamlessly, allowing me to connect my phone without needing any cables. The Bluetooth and adjustable EQ also help deliver crisp, clear audio. You are able to retain the Factory system but this works through the Aux port so sometimes you have to jump between to keep things working making it a bit tedious for the average user. Having some tech savvy will probably be required. Adds a ton of features but surprisingly you loose audio level readout on the screen unless you are in the BMW system mode. Quite the improvement in screen size and resolution on the Linux side but the factory side does not gain resolution so can look a bit pixelated. All in all though, if you want wireless carplay in you BMW, this is the best way to get it! There are units that have an Android OS instead of the Linux OS, the android version lets you have the full play store with any app you want to download, the linux version does not. BE AWARE.
