This one does have some features that would say it is more than I was looking for but it also is very consistent and handles toast at whatever level you like. I prefer medium dark toasted brown toast. My wife likes it barely toasted. This does both reliably. I also like that I can toast bagels though I rarely buy them or English muffins. But I have full confidence this will provide the desired level of toasting of whatever you put in to it. Price was also a factor in the choice. I could have spent a lot more to get the same result. This was a great choice.

I purchased used but in excellent condition however when it was received item was dented and scratched and full of crumbs so it was quite used so description not accurate at all. I did read descriptions prior to purchase. It wasn’t in very good condition. It’s burning toast and smoking and yet at same time 1 side is super hot and other side cold this is officially defective and not safe to use like that with it smoking. PS it came with crumbs already in it.

Should have gotten a heavier unit. Ok toaster, but too light weight. This unit replaced an Oster toaster that lasted for 15 years. I doubt the new unit will last 2 years

I had another toaster by Oster and it lasted like 8 years (and technically it still works). So, I definitely wanted to buy another one from Oster. This one toasts perfectly. It's a very sleek design. I love it as much as the first one. I got this one on Black Friday sales, so it's definitely worth the price!
