Favorite Buldak Flavor. Creamy and less heat but still Spicy.
The Cream Carbonara is my favorite Buldak flavor by far. The cream helps tone the spice down a bit, but also changes the profile of the regular carbonara flavor a bit. I honestly loved the regular carbonara, but after I tried this one, I find myself having to doctor the regular carbonara up a bit more because I long for this flavor instead. If you do not do well with spice at all, this will still be too spicy for you if you use too much of the sauce packet. If you love spice like me, it isn't as spicy as their other flavors, but it's nice for when you don't want too much heat for once.Just like other buldak flavors, adding protein, some Parmesan or other cheese, chives/green onions, and a dash of something creamy helps push the taste further and makes it even better. It also reduces the heat a bit more if you are spice intolerant. -My friend in Japan points out that many add milk over there to help with the spice, so if you are someone who wants to try the ramen but feel even this flavor is too spicy for you, you may want to try adding milk or cream. Also note that Buldak, like many other ramens, does have a lot of sodium so keep an eye on your intake if you need to not go overboard with sodium for health reasons.Only downside is I can really only find this flavor online and it tends to be $3-$6 more than all other flavors. You may get lucky and find it at a bigger grocery store where it'll be the same price as other flavors. I have not been able to find this flavor at any of the Asian markets within an hour of me or at any big chains like Walmart and Target who have expanded their Buldak items.
