I got benign paroxysmal positional vertigo earlier this year and this pillow helps me sleep at night propped up so I don’t wake up dizzy. Has 2 different height options. I have chronic neck and back pain and have had every kind of mattress, every kind of convertible bed, every kind of pillow that you can imagine. I have tried all sorts of mattress toppers. when you have chronic neck and back pain it's hard to lay flat because the nerves between your spine get crunched due to the direct weight on the spine. when you sleep at an angle it will take the weight off the spine and make it a more peaceful easier sleep. it diverts the weight to the buttocks and off the back and shoulders. I also have chronic shoulder problems and have had a shoulder replacement so I'm unable to sleep on my side. for this reason I need this wedge to sleep semi upright. The convertible beds make it very difficult to sleep at a wedge position because you feel like you are sliding down off the end of the bed, it also makes the mattress bunch up in your lower back and buttocks area leaving a bunchy rippled feeling. this pillow does not do that. it has the perfect angle and even fills in your lower back gap. it's probably because it's memory foam and adjust to your body shape. it's not thin where you sink all the way into it like the other reviews say. it's nice and firm and mine puffed up almost instantly.I used it on the couch as well because it's hard to sit back on the couch with that gap on your back this angle helps fill in that gap, and I like how you can have it three different heights. you can have it extremely tall for sitting almost upright, you can have it mid and then low. The only thing I don't like is that the cover is white and even after two nights of use it shows body oils on it. The good news I guess is that the cover is completely removable and you can wash it. I wish there was a more pillow case like cover that I could put on top. that is not a big deal however. it is really saved my life. I am in the middle of contemplating getting a spinal stimulator because I could not sleep at night, and this has diminished my pain by 80%. taking the pressure off my back reducing the ridiculopathy, which is pain that goes from your spine radiating around your rib cage towards the front of your chest when you sleep.The reason why I gave it a four is because it is not quite wide enough for me. I'm a small person and it does fit my shoulders but my king pillow that I use under my head on top of it falls off either side. I like to use a feather pillow so it can conform to my head but what happens is because the wedge pillow is not as wide as king pillow, the pillow feathers disperse and fall off the end as if I almost don't have a pillow at all. also my arms hang off the edges of it as if they are dangling off a table and sometimes feel pressures cutting into the nerves underneath my arms. for that reason because I loved it so much I bought a second one and have been using them side by side. it is fabulous and it accommodates my arms and my pillow for my head and if they do not slide apart.so in summary these are amazing, they fill up almost instantly. they have good support and you don't sink too deep down into them like other reviews have said. they do smell at first but that goes away. The only cons are that they could be wider and they could have a better case that doesn't stain as quickly, as mine is white. you could buy the gray or other colors I guess. that being said I am going to buy them whenever I travel and have them sent to my destination, because they are so affordable and I can't sleep without them. I haven't ever been able to lay on the couch and watch movies because of the gap in the back and lack of support, now I can. in fact I fell asleep on the couch the other day and slept there all night.I do have a concern that because their memory foam I wonder if over time they will smush down and I will not get support any longer, but because of the price I could always buy more. highly recommend

Perfect! I always prop myself up in bed using what feels like 100 pillows. This is a game changer for relaxation whether it be to watch TV, read, or record form a surgery.It came vacuum sealed and inflated very quickly!I like the material because it is memory foam so it is not too firm - it adjusts to your weight so you sink into it accordingly. It offers a ton of support also for your neck if you choose to be the headrest item.Great buy and it is reasonable priced.

This wedge pillow is exactly what I needed for a good nights sleep. A good angle and firm but not hard. I’m hoping it maintains it’s shape for a long while. Love that it’s adjustable. Happy with my purchase.

The item smells horrendous! Typically I can handle the odor but this one is so extreme that I don't even know what to do to get rid of the odor. I used a steam cleaner, set infront of the sun in the window and used powder on them and still the smell takes over the whole house. I am not sure if it will ever fade. Just be cautious if you are someone who is bothered by strong chemical odors.Other than that the pillows are great! We bought two. They are super large and perfect for sitting up in bed reading books, working on your laptop or just watching TV. Gives the perfect prop up and relief on your back.

I love this pillow! I'd been thinking about getting a wedge pillow for awhile, but hadn't gotten around to it, until I had laparoscopic abdominal surgery earlier this month. I thought it would be easier to sleep propped up and easier to get out of bed if I wasn't flat, and hoped it would alleviate the gas pain while I slept. I ended up not having much pain (and no gas pain whatsoever!), so I only used the pillow to sleep for a week, but it was very helpful! I also found a second surprise use for it, I often work sitting on my couch and I propped this pillow up behind me, it's great back support so I'm not slumped over or "shrimping." I think it would also be good support if I wanted to sit and work in bed, I just haven't done that yet.It's dense and very supportive, but not hard, there's just enough give for me. I thought I would have a hard time falling asleep with in "tall" mode and would have to flip the orientation so it was longer and flatter, but I ended up finding it very comfortable. I feel like I remember it came shrink-wrapped and rolled up, and I was a little worried, but it ended up unrolling and rising to its full height very quickly!I docked a star just because the velcro is super loose and not really sticky, and overall not great quality, and the straps on the headrest don't really hold it on very well. That ended up being fine, I used another pillow on top of the wedge anyway, but if I wanted to use the headrest, it wouldn't be very stable

Highly recommend
Would highly recommend for any one confined to bed for either short or long term. Used post operative and allowed for postural relief on abdomen. Elevated enough to assist with breathing. Several positions it can be used in.
Awful smell
Three stars for the simple fact that this pillow wedge smells awful. It’s been outside in the winter airing out since its arrival. Reeks of mildew
