5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what I needed
The delivery was on time and the flour met my expectations for my local meal-masa/waina.
5.0 out of 5 stars A Staple for Gluten-Free Cooking
The flour is finely ground, which ensures a smooth texture in every dish. Its fresh taste brings out the best in my cooking, whether I'm whipping up a batch of fluffy pancakes or delicate noodles. The 4lbs packaging is generous, providing ample flour for multiple cooking sessions. The consistency of the flour makes it a versatile ingredient in my kitchen, perfect for a wide range of recipes. Whether you're a seasoned gluten-free cook or just starting out, this rice flour is a fantastic choice for creating delicious, gluten-free dishes.
4.0 out of 5 stars Okay
This flour seems to be very comparable to normal flour. It mixes well into foods, and it cooks nicely. A couple downsides, though. I didn't really like the smell of this flour; it just kinda turned me off. I don't think it was bad or anything. I just didn't like it. Another thing to be aware of. I'm pretty sure this flour is a higher calorie-dense ingredient compared to other flours. So it's not a good option for people who are trying to cut back--especially when flour has a lot of calories in it to begin with.It was fun to try, but I probably wouldn't buy it again. I'm fine sticking with the traditional all-purpose.
5.0 out of 5 stars Rice flour
This snowy-white rice flour came fresh in a non resealable plastic bag. We've never used rice flour before, but are intrigued that it can be used for baking or thickening dishes in place of wheat flour. My husband followed a recipe for wheat flour pancakes this morning, but used a different kind of milk than was called for. The results were a bit disastrous. They cakes stuck to the griddle so much they couldn't be flipped. So my husband took the rest of the batter and made some muffins with it. They turned out perfect! And they didn't stick at all to the silicone muffin liners! They were a little bland since they didn't have much sugar in them, but with some liquid honey drizzled over the top they were amazing.I look forward to experimenting more with this flour and trying some traditional Asian recipes.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fresh tasting finely ground white rice flour
This finely ground white rice flour from India looked, smelled, and tasted fresh. The package doesn't say whether it's organic, non-GMO, bleached or not, but it has the right neutral taste and is ground finely enough to work well for my gluten free baking needs. This white rice flour produces flakier pie crusts (in my opinion) than regular flour, and it's a must have if you cook for anyone with gluten intolerance. This is good for thickening soups and stews, making gluten free gravies, baking cookies or bread, and even for making batter for tempura or fried chicken with. This white rice flour costs a bit less than other brands too, so I think its a good value!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great consistency
I used this rice flour to make gluten-free snickerdoodles for Christmas. While they didn't have the exact texture of 'real' snickerdoodles they were still really delicious. I also used the flour in my sugar cookies to help rollout the dough and 'season' the cookie cutters before cutting into the dough. It worked well for both of those purposes too. The flour is super finely ground and feels very much like regular flour. It's whiter, but works great. I'm anxious to try additional gluten-free recipes.
5.0 out of 5 stars big bag of rice flour
This is one big bag of rice flour. The rice flour has very fine grains, which is exactly what I need for most of my cooking. I use this to make fried rice cake, honeycomb cake and other dishes. The bag is not resealable so you will need to find a container to store it.
4.0 out of 5 stars Fine rice Flour
This is a pretty big bag of rice flour. I used this to make some treats . I had never used rice flour before and it seemed finer to me than all purpose flour. While the treats turned out just fine, I am not sure i would use this over regular flour, it's pricier and it did not have a resealable bag, but if you are looking for a good rice flour, this would be it, I just wouldn't use it enough .
