This prayer journal is just what I have been looking for. I've been hearing about Lectio Divina and how it can help create a daily rhythm of peace and calm and I was so excited to find this journal. I found the introduction to Lectio Divina very helpful and thoughtful and felt equipped to get started. The prompts each day help keep me focused and I know exactly what to do at each step. I am enjoying the coloring pages as well as the artistic prompts and I am looking forward to getting more familiar and comfortable with the Serene Sketches (meditative art) technique as I get more practice. An added bonus is that the author also offers companion journals for kids and teens. My teen daughter and I are going through our journals together and it's really neat to experience the process together. If you are looking for a journal to add focus and calm to your daily meditation practice, this is a great option.

This book is so calming. It makes me delve deeper into religion which brings me comfort. Then on top of it, I can color the adult coloring page which is an added bonus to my stress relief!!

Really like the easy to read and follow prompts throughout the book. Like that it allows for doodle and coloring spaces too. Lightweight and easy to store bedside or anywhere really. Great for solo work or group work as well. Highly recommended.

I wanted to get this devotional because I was interested in learning more about Lectio Divina. As a beginner, I appreciate the thorough introduction to the Lectio Divina practice. I loved the Serene Sketches method of meditative drawing and have been using it to calm my mind on a regular basis. My favorite thing about the journal so far is the Weekly Examen process, which is a method of looking back over the week, taking note of when you noticed God at work, acknowledging failures and challenges, and then looking forward to the week ahead. My next plan is to use the author's recommendations no how to use this Weekly Examen process as a family. I fully recommend this journal if you are ready to deepen your spiritual practice and bring more calm to your day.Things I especially love:- thorough introduction to Lectio Divina- the fun and calming meditative art prompts- the helpful weekly review process
