I got what I expected to get and the smart plugs work great. I especially like the device monitoring feature because, well, that's why I got them. You see, if you have a generator or some kind of power station that you got for power outages or for camping or for anything like that? Something like these smart plugs is what you want to have so that you can determine how much power different devices are going to use, BEFOREHAND. That way, when it comes time to use your generator or power station, you can have a plan for which devices you are going to plug into it, as well as if it's going to be enough to power what you want to power.Just to be clear, these smart plugs are the H5086 models. At the time of this review they are the newest ones, and I believe they are the only ones like this that Govee makes that are capable of energy monitoring. There are smart plugs that Govee sells that look almost identical to these, that I'm pretty sure do NOT have energy monitoring, which are the H5080 models. And then there's also the H5082 model smart plugs that Govee sells. They are similar to these too, except that they have two sockets on each smart plug, and I'm pretty sure they don't have energy monitoring either.Anyway, besides all of that, these smart plugs function pretty much how I have come to expect things to function that are made by Govee. They are easy to use. They work with Alexa AND Google. They have the necessary electrical certifications. And they have superb safety features. Oh, and they can also be controlled through Wi-Fi OR Bluetooth. Basically, whatever you need a smart plug to do should be covered by these awesome little smart plugs by Govee.

This is a smarter smart plug that works perfectly for my application. We live in an area that occasionally gets power outages ranging from seconds to hours and once or twice for 24 hours. It's the full-day outage that's concerning because we don't ever want to throw out everything in the fridge.We're considering purchasing a backup battery that's dedicated to the refrigerator, but before we do we need to know 𝘦𝘹𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘭𝘺 what power the fridge pulls (W or kW), and how much energy it consumes every 24 hours (kWHr) to size the battery properly. This smart plug gives us that information perfectly. Using the free app you can see the instantaneous power draw, total energy consumed, and energy consumed per hour.It's a normal smart plug on top of that extra stuff, timer, auto-on or off, remote on or off, and full Alexa connectivity. Perfect. Highly recommended.

Replaced a no WiFi no smart one with Govee and for same price this is quite amazing. I love the setup. Fast and easy and zero hassle.It is great value for money. WiFi connectivity was a breeze and worked without issue.Overall it worked really well and is quiet and you get remote control and stats to keep an eye.If you hook it to an EV L1 charging you can monitor how much the consumption is.A good feature missing is ability to input cost per kWh and see how much you’re paying for the EV charging per month or per day or per charge etc.Overall good product

I absolutely love these smart plugs. I use them in my greenhouse to operate the grow-lights, pump for rain barrel to water distribution buckets transfer, heaters in the winter, lamps in the house, etc, etc, etc. They work great with Google but have not tried them with Alexa yet. I really like that they will also provide you with energy consumptions, etc. The data in the app is quite useful. I have even used them with my 3D printers to collect data while printing vs on standby. Highly recommend for whatever project you can think to use them for.

PROS:* Easy to use, both the device and the app.* Doesn't ask for too much information when signing up for app.* Tracks some, but not all, of the essential energy information.* Shows energy consumption hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and for the past year.* On/Off switch on device, through app, or by voice.* Export feature to use with spreadsheets.* Can set a custom power alert to let you know if a device is using beyond X amount of energy.* Seems to work with other dashboards and smart home apps such as Alexa, Google, etc.CONS:* Almost all features, aside from on/off switch, require app and login, i.e. no onboard display.* Doesn't show peak voltage, peak amps or peak wattage to monitor spikes.* No place to input electric rate to show usage costs of a device. Have to calculate outside of app.SUMMARYIt's alright and barring something going wrong I will likely keep this despite it not giving me all the information I'd like that some traditional wattmeters give you. What it gives is still useful and tracks energy usage hourly, weekly, monthly and for past year. The On/Off button on device, app and voice is nifty as we have a device with a faulty On/Off switch, so we now use this smart outlet to turn it On/Off easier. The On/Off switch is also great if you find you have a device that consumes electricity when idle and want to stop that wasted consumption when it's not being used. The "runtime" on the app mainly just shows when the smart plug is in an On state, not the runtime of the device using energy, so keep that in mind for devices that cycle On/Off like window ac units or are used sporadically throughout the day such as microwaves.For what you get, it's a good product. I hate to deduct a star but if they improve the app to show additional info and/or allow you to input your local utility rate, then I'll gladly give it 5 stars. That's why I say it's "almost perfect".

I just upgraded from my old wemos. A great improvement by any measureI love these. Easy to set up.reasonable price. Provides decent data. Reliable. Im switching all my devices to govee. Lights, sensors, switches outlets etc.
