Great stabilizers, honestly my favorite of what's out now.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good Mid-Tier Stabs
These WS Stabs are very solid. I wouldn’t put them up there with TX, Knight, or Staebies, but they are just fine with a light tuning. Band-aid modded out of the box and easy to lube. Price is a touch high for their performance. They fit the pcb well. No noticeable ticking or rattle with a light coat of 205g0. Performance is very good overall.
5.0 out of 5 stars MELETRIX Wuque Studio V3.1 Screw In Stabs - Real Innovation, My Go-To-Stabs For PCB Mount
I have a tendency to use a lot of boards that are made for plate mounted stabilizers. That is partly due to a history with "budget customs" for lack of a better term. This is compounded by the fact that plate mounted stabilizers have improved a lot over recent years. However, these PCB mount stabilizers are definitely my favorites now. There are some small differences compared to what I have become accustomed to, but every difference brings improvements with it. I really love the silicone stem inserts. The stems themselves are still a nice durable PC material. I can't say that the silicone enhances the lifespan as claimed; I have only had these for a few months. But they definitely improve the sound profile.Similarly, the way the wires mount into the housing is also unique. They kind of mount underneath in a way that sort of allow them to "hinge" on the base when they go up and down.During my dry fit, I noticed that the shorter key stabs were completely passable stock. You would never know that they weren't modded. However, the space bar did indeed require some tuning. I used the mirror method with wire benders. I am somewhat surprised to hear of people saying there is some light lube on these. If it's there, it's so faint as to almost be irrelevant. The balance is so good on most of the wires that I can almost see some people not wanting to add lubricant, but I am not among those. The stems themselves have sort of flat leg extensions, so there is no need to clip them. I read somebody else say the silicone acts as a holee mod, though I am not sure that's 100% true. What I do know is that there is no hard surface there on the top of the stem holes so it's going to be difficult to attach anything there. The color of the wires is really low key. I don't know why they called this colorway "glitter" because you almost need a magnifying glass on the housings to see anything there. I really love the look of these no matter what they are called. I feel like they will blend in to just about any build.CONCLUSIONI have only tested these on a few boards, and as with any such component your mileage may vary depending on your board and the associated tolerances. But I find these to be very well made. I am very happy with the installation, the performance and the appearance.
3.0 out of 5 stars Nothing Amazing
Pros:* Everything is pre lubbed & assembled (though likely to come unassembled while removing from packaging)Cons:Super tight fit to the keycaps* I was a little afraid of damaging the PCB while trying to get the keycaps on the stabilizerThe bars insert from the bottom instead of the top* A couple issues with this. First being, getting them out of the packing (which was nicely done) theres a decent chance you are going to pull thestems out of the housings. Second, Reassembly also wasn't quite as easy compaired totop mounts, again because the stems want to fall out the bottom of the housing.Lastly, I don't do this, but I've seen people suggest attaching the stem andhousing to the keyboard before inserting the bar, this method wouldn't bepossible with this styleNot enough for a 100% keyboard* It's a little obnoxious that you would have to buy two sets in order to fill a 100% keyboardMine came missing a washer* I always appreciate when products come with extra hardware, and get supper peeved when they come missing hardware. This was missing a washer, andI managed to lose another, conviniently I was just using these to compareagainst what it came with so I didn't need all the hardware.ConclusionCompared to the stabilizer sets that came with the keyboard (and also comparing to stab sets I have on two other keyboards), I'd say feeling wise, these fell a hair short. I felt like they dragged just a little more on press and release, but I really had to focus to tell the difference and it could be as simple as going back and lubing them myself to correct the issue. I found working with these stabs a little tedious on install, with the bar connecting on the bottom allowing the stem to come out of the case while handling, it got a little obnoxious having to reassemble as they were being handled. If you're needing some stabs, I might recommend trying to find something different, but these are acceptable if you don't have other options.
