The container is sturdy and has a tight-fitting lid. In fact, the lid can be quite difficult to remove if it's tightened very much. The container is roomy (32 oz/960 ml) and of sturdy quality. It's useful for blending soup, beverages, or other items and then putting the lid on it for storage. No transfer of containers is necessary. The shape is designed for an immersion blender and facilitates better blending action and minimal splash out. It's nothing fancy, but it's just what I needed for it's intended use. I purchased two of them. They're a bit pricey but I don't expect to need to buy any more. They seem very durable.

Perfect to use in tandem with any immersion blender. I use it to make the batter for Dutch Baby and sauces/dressings. It keeps the mess contained and it's easy to store with the cap in the fridge until ready to cook or serve. Despite the channels, it is easy to clean; I'll put it in the top rack of the dishwasher or hand wash. The channels are there to ensure a good grip when using, so I'm not mad about it.

Great size - perfect for my All-Clad immersion blender, which has a wide shaft that didn't fit standard size jars or containers. I liked the shape that allowed for less mess when blending.

I bought this to replace one that came with my Cuisinart immersion blender which was thin plastic that cracked and broke after a few uses. This container is sturdy with very visible measurements on the side.

For some reason when I used the vertical blender it scraped the bottom of the jar which I did not expecting. I can use it but cautiously

Jar works fine for blending. But the lid gets stuck when you try to twist it open. I called Vitamix, I'm not missing anything like a washer or o-ring. It's just a design flaw. If you try to pry it off a bit then it will snap loose a bit and then you can twist it off easier.Update:After a couple days of using it the issue with the lid the lid getting stuck has resolved itself. Maybe a sharp edge or something where the jar and lid meet has worn in. Anyway, it's now no harder to unscrew than how hard it was tightened. Revising to 5 stars.Also - there are a few reviews mentioning the immersion blender blades hitting the bottom of the jar. I have the Vitamix immersion blender, and the blades absolutely never hit the bottom. It has a shroud around the blades that prevent that.

Comes with a lid fastened tight. It took a week to remove. Jar is too big for my personal use. I agree with the other reviewer who recommended buying mason jars instead. The scale for measuring is great.

I use this for making my morning protein and supplements drinks using an immersion blender, and it works well for the purpose. The curved shoulder of the container helps keep the blending ingredients from spraying out of the jar -- which is good. On the other hand, it can also catch bits, and make cleaning a little more difficult, which is a slight negative. I pour the blended drink into a glass to drink it, since the jar is a bit big and awkward to drink out of directly -- I have small hands. I rinse the jar immediately after pouring the blended drink into a glass, and then put it in the top rack of our dishwasher, and it comes out sparkling clean, so no problem. I bought two, so I'd always have a clean one ready for use, but so far I've only needed one. Good product!

Poor quality and no point in returning due to shipping costs
I just bought the vitamix immersion blender which I LOVE and can't say enough good things about. I then ordered these jars thinking they would be a useful add on. I was immedidiately disapointed because they are think plastic and not at all the quality I was expected. I requested a return and was provided a label but had to pay the shipping which was $30! This was just to send them from BC to Quebec. So, there is no point returning them and I am essentially out the money I spent on them. I do not recommend this product at all and very disappointed with the customer service.
