I don't need a super-precision set of setup blocks but I wanted them to be reasonably accurate. The pair I received check out to be accurate to .0001" as specified which is just what I needed. For the price, that's actually better than I expected. They seem well-made and the blow-molded case is more than adequate for storage. They were coated with a preservative which had to be cleaned off before use--it has an odd odor.Like many other reviews state, the untapped holes do not have clearance adequate to use the provided screws to attach two blocks together. Frankly, I don't see any use for the 5 included screws because of that. But, I don't need to be able to attach them, but if you will need to bolt the two blocks together, you will have to use external hardware (an 8-32 bolt fits inside the block) to do so. There are kits available for just this purpose or you can drill and tap a dowel to make your own.I took off one star because of the beveling on the edges of one of my blocks. They edge is not a perfect 90 degrees although the sides are at the correct 90 degrees. But the corner is not sharp like I believe it should be.All in all a good purchase for the price for a set of setup blocks that, should they pick up some damage in use, are not hard to amortize while being accurate enough (for me) for everyday use.

Mine used up every bit of the .0003 tolerance based on my calibrated mic’s, thickness and parallel, but I don’t need anything better than that so they work for what I bought them for. I didn’t bother to run them through a full CMM inspection so can’t speak to the squareness and other features. Threads were clear and hardness seems acceptable. iMO these are a good buy and I would recommend them if the tolerance fits your needs.
