I just finished this book right before Halloween and I can say it was perfect for the spooky season! I'm generally not a huge fan of horror or morbid tales, but this book was wonderfully macabre without being grotesque. I think Dominick Dark weaves delightful tales that engage the reader immediately and takes them down a dark path with unexpected twists that leave you feeling unsettled but wanting more. While a first book and short in length, it still delivered a very enjoyable experience and I can't wait to read the next books from Dominick Darkk!

This is the Freshman effort by upcoming author, Dominick Darkk. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this as I am a huge fan of macabre fiction following the likes of Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Joe Hill, Chuck Wendig, Robert McCammon, and many more authors who write in a similar genre. I remain astounded at the myriad of dark topics that arise from the prolific imaginations of authors, and am pleased to discover Mr. Darkk's writing meets the level of the well-respected and successful authors mentioned above.Each of the stories in "Chicken Noodle Soup for the Soulless" is varied, full of descriptive writing, and captures the imagination. I actually found myself wanting to turn to the end of one particular story to see how it concluded, but managed to refrain. :) I won't share much about the stories included in this publication, but it suffices to say you will have a difficult time putting it down.It is exciting to see a newcomer to this genre contribute a worthy collection of short stories. I am eager to read his forthcoming books upon their release. May Mr. Darkk enjoy many years of literary success.Order this book! You will not be disappointed!

A devilishly fun compilation of buzzard and morbid stories, from curses to cannibalism, madness to mayhem. It is a quick read sure to delight fans of horror.

The feel of this book took me right back to the spooky tales I used to read as a child, but with an updated and more cerebral tilt. The stories are fresh and yet nostalgic. And straight from a delighted twisted mind. I look forward to reading more from Darkk in the future.

From simply opening the cover and fixating my eyes on the first couple of pages, I knew this book would easily become a binge-worthy-read. I sat and read this from cover to cover, because each and every chapter/story leaves you wanting more. Without giving too much away, I can say that every chapter leaves you with an eery sense that it has an ending, but... was it 'really' the end?Each story feels that it could easily be made into a short film or tv series somehow in the thriller/horror genre. At such a great price, this book is definitely worth the buy, with this possible disclaimer: you might want to keep all of your lights on while immersing into this delightfully wicked escape from reality. 👻
