It's just machined better. Plus I think the bronze color looks more luxurious. This is a win. A little girthy for a makeup bag but worth it for not getting foundation all over your other stuff. I use it with stick foundations and then sometimes to blend bronzer and blush too if I'm in a pinch. No shedding so far.
