This is VERY UNUSUAL in an ankle-strap shoe -- usually my wife cannot contort herself around to buckle the ankle straps, so I have to buckle (and unbuckle) them for her.NOT SO with this pair of absolutely gorgeous, smooth suede ankle strap shoes!With this pair, she can do it all by herself, because the strap will turn around to where you need it to reach it yourself -- the strap moves so you don't have to!Besides that feature (which she says earns it 10 stars by itself!), the shoes have chunky kitten-length heels that are easy to walk on, and they fit exactly (almost) as she wanted them to fit (the Almost is because, at least when new, the big toe is just barely touching the front of the toe box, but she thinks it will adjust itself out -- there's no crunching, just barely touching).She really likes the style. The black suede is a very smooth look, and the strap gives it a very "dressed up" look. The arch support is in the right place, but because she has very high arches, it could use just a bit more padding in the arch.The overall effect is a pair of black suede ankle-strap heels that she will be wearing quite a bit when she can talk me into going somewhere that she needs to dress up better than jeans and a t-shirt!No doubt about it -- gets a full five stars, and then some!

The shoes are cute & they fit.. only wear if you will not be walking!!! I wore this for a first day of work. Walked through our building and the inside of the shoe was painful to the point where I was developing blisters on the outer side of my feet. I also got terrible sores on my achilles from wearing these shoes! The 2 starts are simply because they are true to size and they are visually appealing

The media could not be loaded. Everyone knows transwomen struggle to find cute shoes. It's tough to find a heel that can stand up to my size, while remaining even vaguely feminine. I LOVE these shoes. They're delicate, sweet, and just a tiny bit BAD. I wear them all the time, and they always make me feel sassy. They're very easy to walk in, even for a beginner, thanks to that chunky heel. My one complaint is the shape of the buckle. It's very elegant, but it is a little difficult to buckle the straps.

I got the nbpu black in size 8.5, and I'm very happy with them. They fit as expected, perhaps a bit long front to back, but with the ankle strap they don't slide off the heel so it's not too big of a deal. They're comfortable to wear, but not so comfortable to walk in, the padding on the toe box is quite hard/thin. I would recommend wearing tights/socks with them, just for added comfort. Easy to walk in, easy to put on, easy to style. Looks good with dresses and slacks. I would not recommend if you usually need a wider toebox, there's not much wiggle room width-wise. I think the build quality is about right for the price, not anything extraordinary, but solid nonetheless. (At time of this review, $29.99) These are super cute, and I'm very happy with them!
