5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome running headphones sure BUT… you’ll never want to take them off
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } I’m no ultramarathoner, but I do like to regularly hit 7 to 10 mile runs. My AirPod pros were fine, they never fell out of my ears, were decently sweat resistant, and could reliably last about 3 hours. I avoided the bone conduction stuff because I thought it was just a fad for something that sounded terrible. The last race I did head some rain to start it and immediately my AirPods cut off and I was left with two hours of silence and running. Lame. I figured what the hell, I’d give it a shot and return them if they suck.Heres my biggest takeaway based on my experience and what I thought they’d be like after watching a dozen review videos beforehand:-The sound is dope. Way better than I thought it would be. I’m honestly pretty deaf and have some hearing loss, and I don’t even run with them on full blast. It’s not the same as my old headphones in terms of sound quality, but it’s more than not bad… it’s actually pretty freaking good. Rock, Rap, Classical, whatever it’s way more than I’d thought I’d get.-The battery just goes and goes and goes. Couple that with the charging pack that’s honestly pretty light, It’ll never die on you unless you’re a bonafide ultramarathoner or an ultralight thru hiker.-having dropped it in water already, the IP67 holds up. No more weird muffled buzz from when your headphones get water trapped or shutting off mid run-my favorite part. On a light settings my, you have a constant soundtrack going on while still being able to talk to people and go on about your day. I literally wear them 24/7 now. The dual BT connection works perfectly so I can bounce between my phone and my Garmin seamlessly. Very comfortable and easy to use. Fit like a glove and don’t shake off unless you’re head banging at a creed show.-the only things I don’t find myself using are the head tilt controls… just driving or walking around will trigger it, and the LED lights. Great feature but most of my miles are on trails. For the price they’re more than worth it for what you get.
5.0 out of 5 stars First time bone conducting, great experience
To start, I wear these for work in >100dB environments so I wanted to use earplugs with these and I actually found this betters the experience.Without earplugs in, they aren’t support loud but usable in most day to day environments. They do sound a little flat to me but that’s because bass is hard to translate through bone conduction. It’s not a deal breaker just nature of the product type. But ear plugs brings that bass in a little bit but can sound muffled at times. It holds up very well to sweat and grime and in extremely loud environments I can still things clearly without issue. I’m thrilled with the value.I don’t see visible charging indications to let you know how charged they are and haven’t found it in the app yet but they’re extremely compatible with Apple products which I enjoy and I mean that by they’re quick to connect, faster than my AirPods Pro in some cases. They are wear and forget kind of comfortable. I have no idea I’m wearing them most of the time already.I highly recommend
1.0 out of 5 stars If you're going to pay this much go with the Open Run Pro
I have used the Shokz open run Pro for a year and a half, or so but finally lost them. In looking for a replacement, I found the Suunto Wing and thought I'd try something new. There are a lot of reviews saying the sound quality is better than Shokz. The Pros:The Suunto Wing charging case is nice and it's great to have a portable holder that doubles as a charger.Sound quality is good when on a run and it works well.Cons:The volume control is terrible. Even at the lowest volume setting my wife can make out what I am listening too and in a quite setting it's also louder than I even want. I imagine this could be fixed with a software release. The currently have a normal and and a running mode (I can't tell the difference), but they could maybe improve equalizer customizationI got some vibration / feedback that I never got when using the shokzThey just don't sit around my ears anywhere near how the shokz does.Overall these are way overpriced for the quality of bone conduction headphones. I'll be going back to shokz.
4.0 out of 5 stars So Far So Good
The Sunnto Wing with bone tech takes some getting used to. I've been using earbuds and over ear headphones and having something that sits outside of my ears, resting on my jawbone is. . . different. The sound is not as rich as traditional types of hearing devices but its not bad either. The Wing cannot be adjusted for your head size so what I do is pull it back and down in the back to get a more snug fit which in turn gives me better tonal quality. The buttons are tiny and I'm still trying to figure out what is the easiest way to turn the unit on/off as well as use the other function buttons, I may have to sit down and devote time to just getting used to the buttons. The Wing has LED lights on both wings, I do my roadwork early in the morning, staring out when its dark so this is a plus. The lights fan flash, stay on all the time while working or blink SOS which I'm not sure who would be able to figure that out other than the user being on the ground and out of it! Battery life is pretty decent, my roadwork last a few hours, nowhere near the advertised 10 hours so I'm happy about that. I got the charging kit which I strongly encourage as it does a great job of locking the Wing in place for charging and provides up to 20 more hours of use time from the charging base once it is fully charged. The kit also comes with a cable charger so you have both charging options if you get the kit. The Wing is light weight and water resistant and I perspire a lot when I work out and so far this had worked well. Sunnto needs to use some of the real-estate on the left wing so they can use bigger buttons. Connectivity is decent, I'm not far from my audio device during workouts so I'm not sure if the connectivity is as good as advertised. So in summary, I give the Wing 4 stars because in general it works great. The combination of all the points I made is why I took away one star.

5/5 for me! I have the Shokz openrun pro, but this is way better! 1st is the sound quality is a bit clearer than the Shokz. 2nd the additional lights for running at night is a bonus! 3rd i find this colorway nicer and the grip on my head is on point! Great for running! would recommend!

Suunto is tracking you. Baaaaad Thing.
1)The number one problem is the Suunto app is tracking you. It wants to track your device or others ID, personal info, location, app activity, photo's, health and fitness The biggest turn off is the app. You cannot use any part of the app, unless you agree to Suunto's policy. I deleted and uninstalled the app. This app is a HUGE *%!'ing turn off. For this reason I gave these only an average rating, since it does have a couple of good features.2) These headphones are noticeably heavier than Shokz Brand.3) These headphones have great sound.4) The wind noise cancelling mics are really a nice feature.
