I originally wanted to purchase a very expense cream colored toaster to match our SMEG teapot; but just couldn't spend that kind of money for toast making. So; this brand had the same look and color we were searching for to match the teapot/toaster up in our newly decorated kitchen. I feel the price is reasonable; and it looks great in our kitchen. Unless you are a 'brand snob' I'd say if you have a SMEG - you may consider this a great substitute. And by the way; it makes GREAT toast and FAST - wow....actually a couple of times when the one slice is toasted and it pops up out of the toaster - the toast actually lands on top of the toaster !! funny ....OH ! why Thank You Mr. Toaster (smile)We'd recommend this product even though we cannot comment on life span just yet. Hopefully this will last years.....

I got this for my daughter because her other little toaster broke and she moved, I thought this toaster would be a great touch for her. Green is her favorite color and when I took it to her, she thought I got her the red one that was on the box. When she open it she was very excited. She said her toast cooks evenly and does not burn. The button function are easy to use. She likes the defrost function that it has. It is not too big and the retro style is a nice touch.It is not heavy, either.I think I paid a good price for it. It comes in different colors to match any kitchen. I am thinking about getting one for my kitchen.She gave it four stars because she has not used every function. But so far, so good.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:First of all, I loved its retro look and brilliant red color that fit my decor, and its super simple external design. Then I read the reviews. That was it for me.I adore this toaster! For the first time in my life--and that is no exaggeration, at the age of 77 now, I have the best and most reliably good toast every single time. I am in toast heaven, and love this toaster so much, I need to name it.

Beautiful colour
Goes well with my kitchen appearance. Only thing with this toaster is that frosten bread has to be toasted twice no matter what setting you put it on. Other then that I love it.
