It works so evenly and well. It perfect size for bagels and for anything we use it for. I love the button functionality. It gets very hot around it when toasting so I pull it our away from cabinets. This is the best toaster we have had for a long time and was not overly expensive. It was a great value. I toast most things on 2 but I do it twice and it toasts perfectly. My other toaster used to be quicker but it would burn things. The speed I think that works the best is low and it is a little slower but comes out just the way I want it every time.

Finally after sending back 3 different toasters this West Bend is absolutely the clear winner and is less expensive and the first toaster that the bagel feature actually works.....The bread is perfectly toasted, it's a keeper....

This is a really nice small toaster. I usually end up turn the bread upside down halfway through so it will toast evenly. I originally bought 3 similarly priced toasters and tried them all out but this one performed the best and I'm very happy with it.
