Got this for my niece who’s gotten really into drawing her favorite manga characters, as well as some OC’s. She’s still a beginner and has so far relied on tracing from other drawing books or images online rather than being able to freehand. I got this to help her put her own ideas and creations down on paper so she wouldn’t feel stuck drawing the same figures over and over. This book has really great examples of different poses, hand gestures, and facial expressions, and does a good job of leading you through how to get from beginning to end rather than jumping from a cluster of circles to a finished face. When I gave it to her she was so excited and immediately started flipping through it and pointing out all of the different styles and expressions she wanted to try. It seemed like the different body poses and anatomy proportion explanations were something she hadn’t seen in any of her other books, and that’s such an important part of character drawing. This book seems really well thought out and I would highly recommend it for anyone who is getting into drawing manga/anime, both beginners and those with some basic knowledge. It would serve as a great reference to keep on hand

This is a neat how to draw anime stuff book that is great for beginners. It offers clear and step by step instructions on how to draw different types of anime art from cute animals, food designs, flowers, hearts, outfits, accessories, to heads, noses, mouths, and hair. It’s such a cute and incredible how to guide for unique anime styles and designs. I’m so glad I found this little booklet to help me start drawing anime stuff. It’s for all ages.

This is such a cute approach to how to draw cute anime stuff! Not only does this book break down how to draw everything from faces and full bodies, to accessories and cute animals. It even features a really cute section on chibi as well as popular anime/manga tropes. I really enjoyed the breakdowns for feet and hands, since those are usually where the biggest struggle comes in. This is a great resource for beginners, everyday artists, and even young artists.
Disappointed
Can’t begin to express my disappointment. The artwork inside is NOTHING like the cover.. none of it!? I don’t even think it’s the same artist. 💔 I feel scammed honestly.
Inspires creativity
Purchased for my daughter - she loves everything anime and this book is encouraging her to draw and be creative - great for kids you love to draw
