It is long, so it isn't a steep climb for him. Very sturdy (my dog is 60lbs) and easily folds up compactly for easy storage; it has a comfortable grip handle to carry it from location to location. It is a bit heavy, but am ok with that as I recognize the frame is given substance to support a dog's weight. The surface is ridged and carpeted so he doesn't slip. He took to using it with no problem. I highly recommend you give it a try.

Good overall product albeit a bit awkward for one person to set up. However the edges on each side are rather sharp (suggest covering with thick tape). The ramp is narrow for a large, older dog (arthritic-wide stance). Use caution when their paws are wet-they slip off the ramp if they are walking on the edges. Very sturdy and a decent value for the cost.

Heavy duty ramp. Comes with clip to secure to vehicle. Carpeted bottom makes it easy for dogs to grip while walking. Saw reviews about being heavy. Not so. It’s heavy duty and sturdy, but overall weight is easy to manage.Keep hands away from hinges to keep from getting pinched (warning sticker on ramp), but it easier to fold and unfold from the center sections. Would prefer a storage bag, but ordered a travel kennel bag which fits the ramp easily.

This is a very nice quality ramp: Quite sturdy & nicely made, folds up easily & compactly, portable, has a clip to secure the ramp to your trunk’s latch to keep it from slipping (which is very thoughtful)— HOWEVER! This is not the right ramp for every dog, car, and situation! The ramp is short enough that it is angled quite steeply and the carpet on the ramp does not offer the slightest amount of grip to any of my three dogs’ paws. I accustomed them to using the ramp with it six inches off the ground initially and then increased the height until they were genuinely confident and even had fun using it! But… I have a 2024 Subaru Outback which is apparently quite high off the ground. When it came down to it, my Doberman puppy and my senior pit bull could not make it up the ramp due to the steepness and lack of grip. And if I used it in my sloped driveway, not even my athletic 6yr old pittie would *attempt* to use it. High value treats and a week of patience went into trying. Maybe if they wore dog boots with grip it’d be fine…? Regardless, keep this in mind before buying! It may be absolutely perfect for you and your dog/s or it may end up being entirely unusable, depending. Just make sure the ramp is long enough for the height you need it to reach or you may end up with the same problem as me!

I have 2 Boxers that are around 12 and 13. I take them on Sunday morning rides in my Rav4 and I needed something to help them get in and out of the back. This ramp works perfectly. It took a little work to get them used to using it. But now once I set it up and open the gate to let them out, they run straight up the ramp. Same with letting them out of the back. Instead of jumping out, they walk down the ramp. The length is good and I like that it folds up. My large Boxer is 123 pounds and the ramp easily handles his weigh.

This ramp is awesome. My dog figured it out immediately. I have a suburban so I only use half the ramp to get her into passenger entry. I tie it off with a rope and secure it to the seat. Takes two seconds to swap it in and out. Fits perfectly and securely this way to the door jam. Very sturdy. Glad I bought it!

Would not buy again! Pinch points all over the place and the metal ramp gets dinged up and scratched easily becoming sharp. The carpeting is slippery for my dogs and they have issues sliding going up and down. It’s a pain to unfold without smashing fingers and the pointed edge of the ramp has already tore the rubber seal on the back of my vehicle. The width is. I’ve and it’s sturdy for heavier dogs but I prefer my other bifold plastic ramp which has held up for over a year now. Wanted to try this one for a smaller vehicle thinking it would take up less space but I usually just leave it folded in half anyway to avoid having to deal with more folds.
