Bought this camera as a gift for my bf. We tried to use it and the camera was defective. Wouldn't turn on without being plugged into the wall. Wouldn't hold a charge AT ALL. we ordered a replacement thinking it was a fluke and the same thing issue happened with the second camera. Not sure if theyre trying to push people to buy their new camera or why they are sending out defective products but either way we’re very unhappy with the product which sucks because we really wanted this one to work. The manufacturer said they would send us another battery repeatedly and never did. Wont be buying again. Just be cautious when ordering. May be a pointless buy. Took over a month after being returned to even get my money back.

So Ive been using this for 3 months now and I love it! I ended up going with the Ace over the pro version since it was a little cheaper. The specs between the two are almost the same. Id say the biggest differences are just that the pro shoots 8k, has a larger sensor, and has a lieca lens where as the non pro version shoots 6k, smaller sensor, and normal lens. I still shoot in 4k, so not a big deal losing the 8k for me. Even though it has a larger sensor it still has pure video mode for low light shots and it does a really good job, better than my dji action 2 and my gopro 11 in low light. The flip screen really comes in handy too, i like it way better than the ones that have the tiny selfie screen on the front. You can see much better with the flip screen and can still see it at difficult angles. The internal mic sounds really good as well and external options are available too (bluetooth mic). The gesture modes come in handy too, just make a hand sign and it starts recording. I think its a great deal considering all it can do for the price. Ended up selling my gopro and decided to make this one my new default. Update: Also forgot to mention it now is able to zoom, as they keep updating the software for it and now its on sale for $299! Correction- now $249! Should have waited to purchase mine… Update! $199!!! Ah i paid over $300 when I got it lol Anyways, still great camera 11months later.

My camera came with a dead battery and it took a month to be replaced. However the service was friendly and although a bit slow, it finally sorted the issue out.However, that's not the main issue.I bought this camera because it promised to be able to overlay data on the video from sources like a Garmin device. And it does,*but* there are some considerations:- It can only be done from the phone app. That means you need to edit your video on your phone. It will not allow you to export 4K or 6K, only 1080p. The app does the job and the quality is good for a Instagram story, but it is really disappointing not being able to do the same in the desktop app -which is also great by the way-.In the desktop you can embed overlay GPS data as well BUT only if the source is the GPS remote control or the phone app. Which would be not a big deal if it only included HRM, cadence or power data! No, It only will show what the GPS remote can track: altitude: coordinates, and speed. G-force and heading which is useless on cycling. That's it.That may be a deal breaker for some, if I knew this in advance I wouldn't bought this camera.I can't complain about the hardware, it is a great camera, but it simply doesn't meet the marketing promise of having overlay data in the videos. It does, but it doesn't at the same time.Disappointing, heartbroken users are left to the hope of a desktop app update to support Garmin Connect the way it does on Mobile, but that will probably never see the light.

It took me a couple tries to get the video quality that I was looking for with this camera, but now that I found the settings that work for me, I am extremely happy with it. I recommend watching a couple of the many youtube videos that are out there where people show you their tips and tricks for using the camera, then you will be able to dial in the settings and get the quality video that you are looking for.

I make hiking content on the side and decided to pull the trigger on getting this camera because it was on sale. Received yesterday and after leaving it on a charge for more 2 hours the camera will not turn on. At the reviews said that it is a defective battery or a defective product… very disappointed seeing how I have a trip coming up this weekend that I would’ve loved to have use this for.

No carga
La cámara al conectarse a la corriente para cargar, enciende (cosa que hace incluso sin contener la batería), pero la carga no es es capaz de retener absolutamente nada de carga, apenas se desconecta de la corriente y la cámara se apaga directamente. Se dejó cargando 12 hrs, y aún así no logra recibir carga.Se probó con varios cubos de carga y cables y con todos es la misma situación
Amazing and powerful little camera
I am very happy with this camera - my first of its type. Insta360 Ace delivers the goods and I am blown away by the ease of use, and the quality of the videos and photos, combined with the great app that provides controls and editing capabilities on the fly. Really good- highly recommended.

Che dire....a parere mio, questa action cam spodesta dal trono la piu famosa Go pro.Questa versione "Insta 360 Ace" a differenza della sorella maggiore la "Insta 360 Ace pro" ha ovviamente caratteristiche inferiori, in primo luogo la dimensione del sensore dell'immagine, ma a conti fatti le differenze sono solo leggermente inferiori e si notano solo in condizioni di scarsa luminosità, questo però non vuol dire che la "semplice" Ace sia da non preferire alla "pro". Le riprese anche quelle con scarsa luminosità rimangono eccellenti. Fantastica la stabilizzazione video in tutte le condizioni di ripresa. Eccellenti le scelte riguardo la risoluzione video e le opzioni per gli fps per ogni risoluzione scelta. Eccellente anche la applicazione sullo smartphone che permette di connettersi senza fili alla cam e scaricare i filmati. C'é anche un programma che permette di editare il filmato e esportarlo dove vogliamo. Dimenticavo ((tante sono le opzioni) ci sono scelte sia per rallentare il filmato (riprendendo con alto numero di fps) sia per effetti come il time lapse e altro, e tutto funziona egregiamente.Inoltre la cam non solo può essere usata tranquillamente sotto la pioggia, ma può essere immersa completamente in acqua e fare riprese subacquee senza uso di custodie impermeabili.Perché Scegliere la semplice Ace e non la Ace pro.....perché spendendo qualcosa meno si mantiene una qualità eccellente che come ho già scritto ma lo ripeto, perde qualcosina solo durante le riprese in condizioni di scarsa luminosità, e riguardo la saturazione dei colori che nella pro è leggermente migliore ( ma non poi così tanto). Entrambe le versioni hanno il chip Ai.Il costo non è basso, ma paragonato ad alte action cam che promettono ma poi ...deludono, ci stà.Voto 10 e lode.
Sorprendente pero ojo con la sujeción!!.
Recomendación para todo aquel que tome contacto con este modelo (al menos en mi caso) la 1ª vez. la base de anclaje tiene 4 pestañas y una base de imán para fijarla al cuerpo de la cámara. Pues bien hay que comprobar que al colocarla esté bien sujeta, o en su defecto haga clic ( no siempre lo hace) por que por defecto aparenta estar bien colocado pero si haces palanca se suelta. De ahí que hubiera casos de que a mas de uno le saliera volando!!.1º TOMA DE CONTACTODecir que vengo del mundo de las GoPro y similares, y necesitaba una cámara para un evento que tuviera una pantalla en plan selfi que no fuera muy cara. y a ser posible mayor que esas miniaturas frontales que tan de moda están en diferentes marcas.La primera impresión.....que grande y pesada!! en comparación con los modelos citados.La segunda....me ha costado un rato hacerme a los menús y el manejo ( falta de costumbre). Pero una vez puesto reconozco que es muy funcional por la facilidad y comodidad de navegar o cambiar entre los diferentes modos.LA CALIDADTras las primeras pruebas y teniendo en cuenta que es la hermana menor de la versión Pro, puedo decir que me ha sorprendido gratamente, especialmente si hablamos en cuanto a precio.Por supuesto que podemos hablar de otros modelos de la competencia y con sensores más grandes que seguro mejoran a esta, pero en este rango de precio hoy es quizás la mejor opción.El resultado de la grabación con parámetros por defecto me ha parecido estupenda, de hecho la alta tasa de bits da como resultado que una grabación en 2,7K a 50 fps con una tarjeta de 128 no sea posible grabar 3 horas, mientras en en una Hero 7 graba unas 4 horas.La calidad de la imagen en general es muy buena, salvo en situaciones de poca luz pero no menos que el resto. El estabilizador y los diferentes modos de visión junto al nivelador de horizonte muy correctos, al igual que el colorido, los 120 fps. en 4k, sumergible a 10 mts, control por voz, HDR, la pantalla responde y se ve muy bien permitiendo la visión en tomas bajas y un largo etc. de funciones, han hecho que me haya decantado por este modelo teniendo en cuenta otros inconvenientes como el no poder reemplazar la lente, por que en mi caso no va a ser para deportes extremos y la casa te la reemplaza sin ningún coste ni pregunta en caso de daño.Fotografía:Otra de las funciones que me ha sorprendido teniendo en cuenta su diminuto sensor es el modo foto de 48 megas que produce un gran nivel de detalle inclusive utilizando un recorte amplio, pudiendo usar los diferentes modos de angular en la misma, no como en otras que siempre es en angular extremo y luego lo recortas. Genera un JPG entre 7 y 11 megas aprox.Conclusión:Sin entrar en tecnicismos de corrección de color y parámetros de ajuste pos-producción etc. a expensas de pruebas mas exhaustivas de duración de batería, sonido, y usos de los diferentes modos, para mi es muy recomendable. Solo detalles como el peso para el uso en cascos y algún detalle del botón de modos algo "duro" podía hacer que me decantara por otra marca. Si el presupuesto lo permite ve a por la versión más avanzada, pero si no, la pantalla y un montón de virtudes por este precio es una buena opción.Edito de nuevo, y después de un tiempo de uso y a que día de hoy ha bajado de precio y tras salir la Pro 2, por el precio actual es lo mejor que puedes encontrar.Me ha sorprendido el Timelapse! en particular cuando se usa con poca luz, produce un vídeo sin apenas ruido, También el Pure vídeo, en ambientes nocturnos resuelve muy bién. Sigue destacando por la cantidad de modos como: Freframe, ráfaga, intervalos ,hdr (foto y vídeo) TimeShif, grabación en loop, starlapse etc junto con un montón de filtros para los diferentes ambientes. La navegación por los diferentes modos y opciones es muy practica. Resumiendo un montón de funciones que hasta hace poco era impensable y sobre todo en este rango de precios, para una cámara que es capaz de grabar a 6k a 30 fps. y poder elegir entre codec 264 y 265, control por voz o por gestos y un largo etc.Seguramente las versiones pro, marcan la diferencia con poca luz, que es el talón de Aquiles de cualquier cámara, videocámara o móbil ,por ello que si quieres mas calidad en ambientes poco iluminados ( al margen de otras ventajas) merecen la pena, pero si no es tu caso y no as tenido una cámara de acción de cierto nivel, este modelo te sorprenderá.

De ahí que hubiera casos de que a mas de uno le saliera volando!!.1º TOMA DE CONTACTODecir que vengo del mundo de las GoPro y similares, y necesitaba una cámara para un evento que tuviera una pantalla en plan selfi que no fuera muy cara. y a ser posible mayor que esas miniaturas frontales que tan de moda están en diferentes marcas.La primera impresión.....que grande y pesada!! en comparación con los modelos citados.La segunda....me ha costado un rato hacerme a los menús y el manejo ( falta de costumbre). Pero una vez puesto reconozco que es muy funcional por la facilidad y comodidad de navegar o cambiar entre los diferentes modos.LA CALIDADTras las primeras pruebas y teniendo en cuenta que es la hermana menor de la versión Pro, puedo decir que me ha sorprendido gratamente, especialmente si hablamos en cuanto a precio.Por supuesto que podemos hablar de otros modelos de la competencia y con sensores más grandes que seguro mejoran a esta, pero en este rango de precio hoy es quizás la mejor opción.El resultado de la grabación con parámetros por defecto me ha parecido estupenda, de hecho la alta tasa de bits da como resultado que una grabación en 2,7K a 50 fps con una tarjeta de 128 no sea posible grabar 3 horas, mientras en en una Hero 7 graba unas 4 horas.La calidad de la imagen en general es muy buena, salvo en situaciones de poca luz pero no menos que el resto. El estabilizador y los diferentes modos de visión junto al nivelador de horizonte muy correctos, al igual que el colorido, los 120 fps. en 4k, sumergible a 10 mts, control por voz, HDR, la pantalla responde y se ve muy bien permitiendo la visión en tomas bajas y un largo etc. de funciones, han hecho que me haya decantado por este modelo teniendo en cuenta otros inconvenientes como el no poder reemplazar la lente, por que en mi caso no va a ser para deportes extremos y la casa te la reemplaza sin ningún coste ni pregunta en caso de daño.Fotografía:Otra de las funciones que me ha sorprendido teniendo en cuenta su diminuto sensor es el modo foto de 48 megas que produce un gran nivel de detalle inclusive utilizando un recorte amplio, pudiendo usar los diferentes modos de angular en la misma, no como en otras que siempre es en angular extremo y luego lo recortas. Genera un JPG entre 7 y 11 megas aprox.Conclusión:Sin entrar en tecnicismos de corrección de color y parámetros de ajuste pos-producción etc. a expensas de pruebas mas exhaustivas de duración de batería, sonido, y usos de los diferentes modos, para mi es muy recomendable. Solo detalles como el peso para el uso en cascos y algún detalle del botón de modos algo "duro" podía hacer que me decantara por otra marca. Si el presupuesto lo permite ve a por la versión más avanzada, pero si no, la pantalla y un montón de virtudes por este precio es una buena opción.Edito de nuevo, y después de un tiempo de uso y a que día de hoy ha bajado de precio y tras salir la Pro 2, por el precio actual es lo mejor que puedes encontrar.Me ha sorprendido el Timelapse! en particular cuando se usa con poca luz, produce un vídeo sin apenas ruido, También el Pure vídeo, en ambientes nocturnos resuelve muy bién. Sigue destacando por la cantidad de modos como: Freframe, ráfaga, intervalos ,hdr (foto y vídeo) TimeShif, grabación en loop, starlapse etc junto con un montón de filtros para los diferentes ambientes. La navegación por los diferentes modos y opciones es muy practica. Resumiendo un montón de funciones que hasta hace poco era impensable y sobre todo en este rango de precios, para una cámara que es capaz de grabar a 6k a 30 fps. y poder elegir entre codec 264 y 265, control por voz o por gestos y un largo etc.Seguramente las versiones pro, marcan la diferencia con poca luz, que es el talón de Aquiles de cualquier cámara, videocámara o móbil ,por ello que si quieres mas calidad en ambientes poco iluminados ( al margen de otras ventajas) merecen la pena, pero si no es tu caso y no as tenido una cámara de acción de cierto nivel, este modelo te sorprenderá.
