I have had my Oster blender for years and recently ran the jar base cap (collar) through the dishwasher. It no longer fit and so I was ready to buy a new blender, but I really liked its quality and ice crushing ability, so decided to try the replacement cap. I didn't think it had a prayer of fitting since it was a 20 year old Oster, but it slid right on and worked without a problem. I assume the replacement shouldn't go through the dishwasher either, but I don't know. I do know I learned my lesson and will hand wash from now on. If you are looking for a replacement, make sure to count the number of fins on the collar.They seem to have both 5 and 6 fin versions and you can easily tell which one is your match from the photos on Bolo.
