I had dawn to dusk lights and I put a piece of tape over the electric eye and just put these light bulbs in and it works great the motion

I was happy to find something that turns on our sunroom lights automatically when my son who works nights comes home from work. Usually I had to run downstairs and turn on the light when he was on his way home.They go on when he opens the door from our garage. One of them goes off a couple minutes later but the other one hasn’t been shutting off and stays on for quite a while or doesn’t shut off at all. A little disappointed.

The light bulbs works great!The light comes on once you reach the zone which is about 25 feet from the light installment.The light is ultra bright and stays on as long as you are in the zoneOnce you leave the zone, the light will turn off.With the 2 pack, its a great buy!

These bulbs worked as expected when used outdoors. They would come on after dark when motion is detected and stay on for about 40 seconds. Indoors they simply would not come on even in complete darkness. The only difference between indoors and outdoors is the ambient temperature, being about 20 degrees cooler outdoors. I believe the cooler environment makes it easier to detect the motion of a comparatively warm body in motion, allowing the bulbs to work correctly in these conditions. But if that is the case I would have to assume that the bulbs would also stop working outdoors if the temperature rises to indoor levels. So even if they were intended for outdoor use only they would probably not work consistently. I will try a different brand but the reviews of these type of bulbs indicate that all of them seem to have detection problems of some sort. This is true even of the brand that costs more than twice as much. This is certainly not new technology so this should not be the case.

I wish these bulbs would stay on longer, if you move out of range for a bit, the light goes out almost instantly.
