It came out of the box ready to use, no assembly required. I was worried that the adjustable height feature might be a problem if the mechanism was not of good quality. After purchasing it and using it for a while, I'd say it's a good quality chair that should last for quite a while as long as I keep my kids away from it. They love to raise and lower it, which makes me nervous. Don't want to have to go back to a normal chair! It helps me so much with keeping my back happy when I have to sit and work at my computer. I especially love the adjustable height because I have several places where I like to sit up, including a desk, a dining table, and a bar which is taller than a normal table height.

I work in education and we utilize this style of stools in some classrooms. My boss ordered some of them and they work so well for me, I ordered a purple one for at home. They help me accomplish tasks on bad pain days and I can use the stool to stretch and move my body. I love the adjustable seat and it was quickly ready to use and it is sturdy. I like that I can make it smaller to travel with.

I was initially really excited to receive this product to be used for flexible seating in my classroom and also for personal use. I noticed from the very beginning regardless of the amount of weight applied to the stool there is an annoying creaking noise which is very distracting. I think besides this glaring flaw the product is pretty good, I think the plastic feels like it's high quality, the softer material on the top makes a more pleasant seating experience then other alternatives I have seen. I also think it is really truly beneficial that there is the ability to adjust the seating level of the stool, I don't see it often and I have had zero problems with this feature so far.

Offices would be way more fun with these! You can work on your core strength while sitting, and it stores so easily. Telescoping like an office chair is something I never would've thought of but I think all these chairs should work this way. My only gripe with the one I ordered is that it was the wrong color but everything else is perfect.
