5.0 out of 5 stars Works Like a Charm!
I was a little bit skeptical about this product for a couple of reasons—1) Will it work like it’s advertised, and 2) Will it be inconvenient/in the way when I use it to play games on my phone? I was pleasantly surprised on both issues. This heat sink comes with magnets that you adhere to your device if it isn’t magnetic. There is a little bulb syringe that you use to refill the water when you need it. There’s also a round plastic frame with clips that I assume one would use to keep it on a smaller device? It wasn’t listed in the instructions. When I first tried to get the magnet to stick on my phone, it didn’t, even though I have a MagSafe phone case. That was a little bit surprising, but it did work out once I took the case off my phone. I am glad it worked out because I really didn’t want to use the magnets. The fan motor is quiet (for a fan) and it only took about five minutes for my phone to become noticeably cooler. I’m impressed with how much cooler my phone became when using the heat sink. I am also very impressed by how well it fits and how it doesn’t get in the way when I use it. The only issue I have is that there aren’t clear instructions on how everything works. The instructions are minimal and it took me a hot minute to figure out how things work on it. Other than that, it’s fantastic. I definitely recommend this product!!Note to product development: you might want to consider including more detailed instructions in the box.
5.0 out of 5 stars Super cools my phone.
Awesome cooler, it keeps my phone from over heating at all the power levels. The top one will freeze condensation and have frost on it. Will cool any devices. No limit to gaming or using Dex mode.
1.0 out of 5 stars Had it for two days. Broke, dang near burned my house down
The media could not be loaded. I'm extremely tired of Bolo allowing garbage to be sold. These companies roll put a product. They Get a handful of sales, and start getting poor reviews. Then they just change names and do it again.I've had this for 2 days. Was incredible. Suddenly making a very loud noise from like a pump or something. Checked water. Put a few drops in.Nothing.F1 and f4 messages.Absolute garbage, trash, abhorrent poop product. No way to contact seller. Insane.
4.0 out of 5 stars Many more uses than just for gaming.
The perfect niche product that has more unique uses if you think outside the box! So, for this little review, I will start with it's intended purpose. The box arrived with water leaking out of it. This had me concerned, especially when I opened the box and the bag that the device was in was not full of water, but had more water than anyone would want to see around an electronic device. I had to let it dry out for a day or so before I felt comfortable turning it on. After filling the tank with fresh water, I turned it on and within a few moments, the heatsink had chilled to a very frosty 28F. I did the water drop test on the pad and sure enough, the water did freeze... granted it was a very small and spread out drop of water, but when attached to my phone during gaming, I actually had to turn the cooler off because my hands were getting cold. I can't lie, it was that chilly! So it is excellent for it's intended purpose. You wont be walking around the house with it, but if you are someone who has a desk or table near where you game, you will be aces.Other uses... I like to find interesting ways to use things, it's probably my ADHD or something like that, but it's fun. The other day it was a particularly hot Las Vegas afternoon and I typically put ice in my cat's water fountain just so he can stay cool and encourages him to drink water. Just for fun, I attached the cooler to the side of the reservoir of the fountain and within about 30 mins, the water was cooler than fridge water and he was lapping it up. Next up, same concept but for myself. I put the puck under my can of soda and it was frost cold from top to bottom. There are probably a million other uses for this that make it more than a one trick pony, so I say let you imagination run wild! The ONLY down side of this is it's bulk, but for what it's doing, that can hardly be helped.
5.0 out of 5 stars Beats Razer fan cooler hands down!!
Cools down IPhone really quickly and consistently!! I am able to handle my smartphone without issue of blocking fan. Well worth the money! Beats all my expectations!! Filled mine with distilled water. Needed only about 3 - 4 ml!!! It is way quieter than my other fan piezo coolers to boot! Of note - adapter plug does run hot.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works even better than expected. 25% increase in sustained performance.
This small cooler is surprisingly effective. Works better without a case, but even with my MagSafe case on it the phone remained actually COLD to the touch throughout intense workloads and even maxing it out with benchmark apps.Without a cooler: 3D Mark Performance drops 28-35% after two runs of wildlife extreme. With the cooler: Drops only 0-5%.For the future integrating wireless magsafe charging would make this basically perfect.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great For Smartphone Power Users
Throughout my years of owning cellphones, I have noticed a problem pattern. Though I am not a gamer, I am a smartphone power user. Because my cellphone activities are demanding power usage-wise, my phone runs very hot. Because my cellphones run so hot, it causes the battery to heat stress and swell over time requiring constant replacements. I am lucky if I can get a year out of a battery before it swells. After receiving this cooling device just yesterday, I tested this on my LG-V60 smartphone overnight. When I woke up, the internal battery temperature registered at a cool 52 degrees F. This is very promising. Replacing a cellphone battery used to be a trivial procedure. But because now it is now a pain in the posterior to replace a modern cellphone's battery, this device is very promising for cellphone power users. I hope the manufacturer of this device develops an automotive version this cooler. This cooler basically uses water to transport the heat away from the phone to the heat exchanger fan assembly. This is not much different in operating principle than a cars radiator.
3.0 out of 5 stars meh AIO for your phone
This cooler could work, but not that great. Can just get hot without warning if the pump stops or low liquid. Not that quiet, a bit noisy during use. A bit bulky to carry around. Might just put a fan on the phone.
