This is a must-have for the Fellow Opus! For months, I was chaotically banging and smacking my Opus around to get all the grinds out, but now my morning routine is significantly more relaxing. The amount of grinds that come out is exactly what I measured going in! The fit is a bit tight, but I would rather have the bellow be secure than prone to falling off.

The media could not be loaded. Anyone that owns the Opus is aware that the retention is quite frustrating and despite it being an entry level grinder, it’s still expensive and I don’t wanna be over here smacking the top of it to get all of my beans. These bellows definitely do the job of getting all of that excess coffee out, I’ve noticed a lot of grounds like to stick to the inner burr of my Opus. I clean mine every week and before purchasing the bellows, I was always brushing out a lot of excess grounds. Definitely not as much anymore. The only cons (as I explained in the video), would be the fact that I have to squeeze the middle of the bellows to get the hopper lid off so I can dose my beans in. It also gets dirty easy but other than that, it’s does the job.

Highly recommend. Gets the job done. After beans have completed the grind, with the motor still running, give it 3 - 4 pumps and it clears out all of the retention.Edit: Also found that putting a little cinnamon on a paper towel and rubbing it on the inside of the upper lip allows the Opus lid to slide in and out very easily. Especially helpful after washing the bellows when it becomes very grippy again (like when new).

The Opus is notorious for it's retention problem. This bellow fixed that problem. I had no problems with the fit. The lid is snug but I can live with that.I would highly recommend this to anyone who is tired of knocking their Opus around to get all the coffee grounds out.

Not anything close to a game changer. Very difficult to get the lid off to put the beans in. Done several test runs and I'm not seeing any measurable difference in the amount of grounds that I'm able to push out with this bellows versus just tapping on the lid. This is going straight back because I would like to be able to get the lid off my grinder please.

The bellows ("bellow" is a verb describing loud shouting) is a nice idea. Push air through the Opus grinder to clear out the remains of beans, and general debris from grinding one batch before grinding a different batch. It's a great idea in theory ("I'd love to live in Theory, where everything works"). Unfortunately, in my experience, the bellows only dislodges some of the residual debris. Whether I'm changing beans, or just generally tidying up from grinding the same beans, the results are the same: sooner than later, I have to take the top off my Opus, and clean all of the debris out with a brush and damp cloth.The bellows fits properly on top of the Opus hopper, and, after a few months' use, shows no sign of failing mechanically. In that regard, I have no complaints. But since the object of the exercise is to clear out the remains from grinding a batch of beans, the bellows doesn't, in my experience, get the job done. I've removed the bellows, and returned to cleaning my Opus as needed, by hand.Based solely on failing to clear debris, the bellows gets one star. I gave a second star for at least fitting correctly, and not coming apart after repeated use.

Helps the Opus’s retention problem tremendously. New it’s a bit tight but once grounds get in, the lid slides on and off easier. It’s just a silicone tube. Overpriced for what it is but what can you do. Worth buying regardless. The very first time I used it a ton of coffee came out into the sink, like an internal cleaning.
Works well with Fellow Opus.
Fits perfectly into the Fellow Opus machine. Couple pumps and I barely get any residues with pretty accurate bean weight. I would recommend this product for people having trouble with residue weight on Fellow Opus.
Expensive, but makes the Opus more user friendly
Expensive for what it is, but completely eliminates grind retention on the Fellow Opus. Probably something like this should actually come with the grinder. I found it very easy to fit and to use straight away.
Solves the retention problem
The Fellow Opus has a huge retention problem, despite being marketed as having very low retention. I would frequently get 2+ grams retention and have to bang the heck out of the grinder to get it all out. The bellows solves this problem entirely.You still need to give it a few firm pushes, so I hold the body of the grinder to avoid pressure and strain on the plastic.I'm very satisfied.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW!
The inside silicone surface is incredibly grippy. At first the fit was tight and I could not remove the lid of the hopper no matter which way I tried to carefully pull it out. I would have had to return the item for this reason, but I decided to try stretching the top slightly by hand - and now with a looser fit, I can much more easily fit and remove the lid without the material gripping so fiercely. This bellow really pushes a lot of stuck coffee grounds out of the grinder. Be sure to support the opus when pressing, since it was not designed for a lot of downward force.. Be sure to let the bellow return and rise up slowly after pressing, or it will create a vacuum and suck flakes of coffee up into the hopper. I like the idea of not having grounds left in the machine, going stale, and then mixing with future brews.
