I recently have been beefing up my skincare routine and getting the more higher end brands now that I'm beginning to age and am getting closer to 40. Now normally the adage "You get what your pay for" is quite true, but this brand is definitely the exception to this rule. This is a very strong and effective retinol and I'm astonished that it is as accessible as it is and the amazing price point with it being so well done and effective. This is definitely not for beginners of retinol, this is for the seasoned retinol users, and those that have no sensitivity issues whatsoever with harsher skincare products. I started out with using the retinol in squalene with the serum dropper method of transfer until my skin became slowly transitioned well enough to begin the highest dose available with The Ordinary. This process comes in a tube bottle almost like a skinny cigar in size. I love the compact form, especially with so many products being serum based and in dropper vials, this is a welcomed change. This has a cap like a marker on top, and a small pump to dispense the product. The product is neon yellow in color, which is the color of retinol product. It has the consistency of the paint that would be used with finger painting. A little goes a long way. It is recommended and advised to only use a pea sized amount, but lets be real a pea sized amount is barely getting my whole face lol. I use two pea size drops to cover both halves of my face, one on the left and one on the right. This container will last you a long time, so the price point is phenomenal. Remember to start out slow and only use every few nights and work your way to every other day then nightly. Dont use this for morning/day skincare routine, only use this at night. Make sure to moisturize on top and absolutely definitely wear sunscreen the next day when going out in the sun because if not, you will burn and your skin will be very sensitive. I will be continuing to purchase this everytime I run out š„°

Tiny dab at night - works great to reduce red acne scars, including old ones! I have one that's at least 6 months old, I've used product for a couple of weeks, and it's reduced the scar remarkably. I haven't experienced any irritation or flaking, but I've used retinol products for years. Great value for money. Made in Canada.

Absolutely loving The Ordinary Retinal 0.2% Emulsion! After just a couple weeks, my skin looks smoother, brighter, and more even-toned. It's strong but surprisingly gentleāno irritation, just results. A little goes a long way. This is officially a staple in my nighttime routine!

Works really well to reduce fine lines in my face. Sometimes i use it on my face when itās damp so it spreads around and absorbs easily. I also stack it with a ton of moisturizer so it doesnāt dry out my skin.

The media could not be loaded. I started using The Ordinary Retinal 0.2% Emulsion about two months ago, and honestly, Iām impressed. I was a bit nervous to try retinal (especially with all the talk about irritation), but this formula has been super gentle on my skin. I eased it in slowly, just a night a week, and now Iām using it consistently ā no dryness, no peeling. My skin feels smoother, looks more even, and thereās this glow I didnāt have before. Itās helped fade some texture and early signs of aging, and I love that it feels light but effective. Definitely staying in my routine.

I am loving The Ordinary skincare products! They are SO affordable and last a long time. I honestly have yet to use this product. I am a new retinol user and did not realize this strength is for experienced users. I have purchased the lower potency and it is working great so far. Once I am out of it, I will work my way up to this one.*The Ordinary is AMAZING! I sent their customer service a list of the products I purchased and they sent me a routine. That is how I found out that I should hold off on using this product.

I usually like The Ordinary brand but this particular retinol was too drying on my skin. I have very dry skin at 62 yrs of age, had a little peeling too even though I used a good moisturizer after using it. Will have to continue researching for a more moisturizing retinol.

Incredible product. It started working from the first use. I was very careful and put moisturizer before I applied the retinal. I have had tiny annoying pimples on my forehead for a year now and they kept coming back. They became so much better just after one use... at first I didn't believe it but every time I use this product they just go away. I need to make sure that I don't get addicted and use it every day haha
