It works great and keeps the sun out. That’s helpful at kids sports or recess duty for a teacher where there is no shade. It was heavier than I wanted, but I will keep it.

Conveniently small size and gets the job done. However, the strap weakens and eventually stops closing. Also, it's not designed to last too many daily uses nor is it as "wind-proof" as the description says (it blows inside-out quite often). Still, a great way to stay cool.

I guess it works in a way, it does technically give you shade HOWEVER if there is any wind at all it will not work out, I had to close it up if I was walking into the slightest breeze because it would bend backwards.It's easy to close and I like that it's small and light enough to just toss in my bag.I would not personally purchase this again.
