The screen works great I am super happy but the mounting bracket is meant for a right hand drive car and not a left hand be ware I made it work but I'm very prominent with cars and audio most people will have a hard time modifying the base(update I got in touch with then and they helped me very quickly 100%recommend it ) on notes plz specif left head driver ir right hand drive will help both sides

My original bmw screen started to be unreadable so I figured I would give this a try. I had already installed a module for carplay that was same price as this about a year ago.I am very surprised how well this works! Its great! Siri works on steering wheel. Uses factory mic well. I also can read the factory menus much easier. Idrive still works and works with apple carplay.Install instructions kind of suck. Since I had already installed an aftermarket module for carplay I already knew what had to be done. The install instructions didn't say anything about removing the two wires from the default harness and moving them to the new harness. I did this as my old carplay instructions said to and everything worked perfectly.Removing my old carplay kit and installing this one took about 3 hours for me. I had to remove glovebox to get old stuff out. Thats not required to install this kit. I did have to buy longer 3.5 audio cable.I have a 2012 CIC BMW 328

I updated my ID4 8.8 inch OE screen to get CarPlay and to enlarge Apple Maps so I could see it easier in traffic. This screen did all that and kept all my ID4 capabilities except Bluetooth but you don’t need it because CarPlay can interface to everything. You need to delete the BMW Bluetooth from your phone to make this work. You will still have access to satellite and BMW as well as all the car parameters. Installation, although looked intimidating, was very easy and trouble free. It uses all the BMW audio resources including microphone and controls. You can voice control your CarPlay features too. The stand/bracket for the screen allows for a little shaking. Wish it was metal but it is tolerable. The screen could be a little brighter. Had to push the settings up a bit to make it optimal.

Screen is huge, wish I’d went with the 10” screen. My only true complaint is the glare on the screen in the daytime.Would love to find a screen protector to reduce the glare. Everything else is awesome!Had it professionally installed. Was gonna try it myself, but got a little scared to try it myself.

Definitely the best option to replace your old outdated, miniature original screen, this screen definitely surpassed my expectations, the wireless CarPlay works great, also I’ve read on different forums and reviews of different screens that reduce the quality of your sound as you have to use the AUX to play you music, this one is all wireless and everything maintains the factory sound! I would absolutely recommend this screen upgrade. Don’t waste your money on an Android unit this Linux screen is AMAZING!
