It twists onto the fuel can easily. I've noticed that with some brands of butane cans, the torch head may not fit perfectly and can leak. I suggest that you buy a SMALL quantity of fuel cans, and confirm that whatever brand you bought fits well and doesn't leak. If it DOES leak, try a different brand. The fault will be with the can, not the torch. Once you know which brand(s) works best with your torch, then get a larger quantity if you plan on using the torch a lot.

Obviously a copycat item, and a few grams lighter than the Iwatani torch it replaced that had begin failing to light after more than 10 years of regular use. But it worked right out of the package, securely locked onto a butane cylinder, ignited immediately and threw a long, strong flame. At the other extreme, the minimal flame seems a bit stronger than my Iwatani's was, but it will still work fine for brulees. At sub-$9, who can complain? If you've ever wanted a kitchen torch like this, this is the one you should buy.

We got this to use in the kitchen as well as any other need for a little heat. Easy to install on a butane can. The ignitor works well and it definitely cranks out some fire. The flame is adjustable to a degree to suit your needs. The valve on the back of the torch is a little touchy, but you really can’t complain for the price.

Plastic retainer, can easily easily be cut by metal can. Be careful when mounting on your butane cartridge, cheap plastic easily damaged by sharp edges of metal butane cartridge.

It is easy to use, and really very handy in my workshop.
Great kitchen burner

I especially like that it uses butane gas canisters for portable stoves, which are inexpensive and easy to find. The flame adjustment and piezo ignition worked great. The flame was very stable even when the gas canister was tilted or upside down. It was suitable for short-time use in food preparation, but I have a concern that the metal part at the burner tip is in contact with a plastic parts, but quickly gets extremely hot. I am not sure how long the burner can be used at high heat without damaging the unit.
