The media could not be loaded. I recently purchased the Insta360 X4, and it has completely revolutionized my approach to capturing action videos. As a avid BMX rider, I've tested numerous cameras over the years, but the X4 stands out as a true game changer.Outstanding image quality! The X4's shoots in 8K30fps, 5K60fps and for that cinematic look, 4K100fps. Plus 72MP 360 photos. The resolution provides sharp and vibrant images and the details are incredible!Stabilization! The FlowState stabilization keeps the footage smooth and professional looking, regardless who’s using the camera. Completely eliminating the need for a gimbal.The X4 doubles as a traditional wide angle camera with the Single Lens Mode, which can also shoot up to 4K60fps.Durability! One of my favorite upgrades is the lens guards. The standard lens guard that comes with the camera is easy to apply and remove. No more having to worry about scratching the lens with certain shots that may put your camera in harms way. You can also upgrade to the premium lens guards that is more scratch resistant and for top image quality.Battery Life! The improved battery life is a significant upgrade from previous models. It’s also water proof up to 10 meters out of the box.Overall, the Insta360 X4 has exceeded my expectations in every way. It’s a powerhouse of a camera that is versatile and the quality is unmatched. Insta360 X4 is a must have. Highly recommended!

I am new to the Insta360 but I am hooked, its my new favorite toy. The image quality is fantastic. The build quality is top notch and now the integrated lens covers make it easier to use as an action camera without worry of damaging the lenses.In the desktop video editing program I've used the built in focus tools and keyframes. The focus tools basically steer the video to what ever object you want to concentrate on. It's quick and effective. I have also used keyframes to move the video from subject to subject. Grabbing snapshots is also straight forward. Just rotate and zoom to set your frame and click snapshot.When filming you don't need to worry about framing your shot. It's 360 so in the editor your free to grab the best angle and zoom anytime.

I bought this to allow me to post 360 videos on You Tube. Although I have not yet posted, I have been taking and editing a lot of pictures. Image quality is very good, equal to what Insta360 shows online. Today I took a video of a large car show and since it is small and at the end of a pole (selfie stick) nobody pays any attention to it and I can video in anonymity. I would recommend that with the purchase you invest in a wireless microphone and additional batteries.

Updated Review 8/3/2024:I returned the original camera I got, however, after leaving my 1 star review the Insta 360 customer service reached out to me.They gave me a discount code to order a new one if I wanted for a significant discount. I couldn't resist since I really wanted this camera to work and thought maybe the last one was a lemon since I read on Reddit some users just exchanged cameras and then it worked okay.The new camera arrived and it connected to activate without issue. This time I DID NOT update the firmware to the latest firmware since they don't have all firmwares on their website just current and 1 version behind.I have been able to connect to it with my iPhone 12 Pro using the base (old) firmware and can edit the videos in the app. This is the experience I wanted in the first place. I'm impressed Insta 360 customer service reached out to me and actually made a very hard to say no to discount for the product. I am happy now and am hoping a future firmware will work correctly with my iPhone, but I'll wait several months before trying to update.Original Review 7/24/24:"Horrible Product - It Doesn't Even Work Brand New"Followed the instructions to connect to my iPhone 12 Pro. It did once and then right after it updated firmware it wouldn't connect again.I reset the camera. Reinstalled firmware. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my iPhone. Checked that my iPhone 12 Pro and app were up to date.It will NOT connect to the camera it just fails over and over again. I spent 2-3 hours trying to troubleshoot a brand new product. I'm sorry, but this camera sucks. It doesn't even work correctly with their software, which is a big sell on this product.There are some reddit threads where iPhone users are experiencing the same issue I'm describing and the fix is returning it since the product is defective. What a joke. No YouTuber review even mentioned this.

The X4 camera seems to be pretty good. But the desktop Studio software is absolute garbage. I'm a 40+ year software developer and I've rarely seen commercial software this poorly designed and coded. My first video was an hour long set of a local band. I spent hours editing it in Studio, only to get an error when I tried to export it. And in trying to troubleshoot, it's only gotten worse. The camera is of no use to me if the editing software doesn't work. AVOID!!!

After viewing some videos on YouTube about this 360 camera I decided to purchase this kit. I am very pleased with my purchase I love it The only thing now is that I need to practice on how doing video and doing the post production on iPad or Mac. As you can decide whatever you want to show on the video after it’s filmed. I guess I am not yet used to do that as in the past whatever you film was that , now with this 360 you don’t miss anything when filming. But it add a extra steps of doing to post productionI am planning to bring it to a wedding soon and some vacation on the beach to replace an old GoPro hero 5. Will purchase the extended 3 meters selfie stick as well. To create fake drone video
