Perfect size for supper or even breakfast. The pattern on these plates is quite gorgeous! They look very rich.Now, as beautiful as these plates are, I still question whether they are “fine bone china.” They are quite lightweight enough to be the real deal, but, one plate has a small unusual marking you do not normally see with fine bone china. So, this might be fine china, but not sure it’s fine bone. Nonetheless, it’s very beautiful, and, if fine bone, then, great for the cost.I am a fine China snob. I have a beautiful collection of fine bone china, porcelain china, and regular China. My tea set and dinnerware are all fine/bone/China and my glasses are signature pieces, so, I know quality dinnerware when I see it.

While the plate is quite beautiful the metal decoration makes this plate not microwave safe, I out it in for a few seconds and it started sparking at the metal parts of the plate. Quite expensive to not be able to use in the microwave but I guess they can be used for special occasions.

LOVE’S STARLIGHT WALTZ is absolutely beautiful.Each time I serve my guests coffee or tea from this set, the compliments flow freely. EVERY TIME! I wish there were more pieces to this set.
