The best outdoor candle product I’ve bought. Smells great and most importantly keeps the bugs away. This candle is easy to light and stays lit until your ready to put it out and I think it’s a great value for your money.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I bought it for a family camping trip. I knew the place we were going to be staying could be bag with bugs the time of year that we went, so I ordered this bug repellant candle. I am so glad i did! It smells great, and it also kept the bugs out of our camp site!

Wish I could give negative stars! The wick lasted maybe 2 uses then disappeared, never to be seen again. Rendering the candle useless! Any attempts to revive ended in failure and frustration! I vow to find a better solution than candles because the design needs to be updated, they are obsolete and I'm frustrated.

I sit outside on my balcony almost every night for at least a hour, and I light this candle the moment I walk outside. My apartment complex is next to a swampy area, so there are definitely mosquitos— I had learned this the hard way prior to purchasing the candle. For reference, I am a mosquito magnet— every time I’m outdoors with a group of friends I tend to get 3x the mosquito bites they do.Since I started using this candle, I kid you not I haven’t gotten a single bug bite. I sit right next to a little outdoor coffee table on which I have the candle, so I can’t speak to its radius of protection.I felt lazy the other night and didn’t light this candle since I had only planned to sit outside 10-15 minutes, and it has been so dry lately I thought maybe mosquito activity was minimal. Lo and behold, I noticed several mosquito bites when I woke up this morning. If you’re looking for a healthy/natural way to repel mosquitos for a good price, this product is for you!The scent is okay— it’s not bad but if it wasn’t for its mosquito banishing effects I certainly wouldn’t choose it based on scent alone— every now and again I get a whiff of something reminiscent of hot dogs. As a vegetarian, it isn’t an enjoyable smell. As a whole, it’s tolerable though and you grow used to it.I’ll continue to buy these candles. Perhaps in the future they can improve the scent, but I’ll continue to buy regardless for the efficacy!
