Used them to drill vent holes in a camp fire ring and they drilled through like butter, from the first hole to the last. Very little wear on the bit. Very good option of sizes makes these bits useful. And the storage case will protect them for a long time.

Well I gave it a 4 star for only reason I have not used it at this time. Let me say I,m a retired machinist. My opinion isIt is very well made. It seems to be made of high speed steel, not carbon steel first & formost. If run at correct speed& correct lubricant it should last a reasonable time.

The media could not be loaded. Absolutely garbage quality step drill bits. I tried three different bits and none of them were capable of drilling through mild steel sheet metal. The bits are completely dull and the only way they almost work is by heating the metal up so much that it deforms. Genuinely the worst tools I've ever had the displeasure of using. If I could rate with negative stars, I would.

got this set for a very specific need -- worked great -- put them aside thinking i'd probably never use them again -- but have run into three more situations where i found them to be very handy -- very sharp -- just have to have a firm grip on your drill and work slowly -- they can grab on and try to pull the bit through --

I had to use 3 bits to drill a 3/4” hole in 4mm aluminum, probably better on think metal or better yet plastic…..and this was aluminum also, imagine if it was steel
