I only used it a few times. Setup is simple, controls are good, easy connectivity to my iPhone, camera view is good, don’t expect super high resolution, but it’s better than I expected. The price was on sale so that made it extra nice. The seller was quick to answer my questions.

It is a really good drone if you accidentally hit something it will try to keep flying and the quality is HD. The drone flies good and it is loud enough that you know where it is but not to were it is annoying I have been flying this drone for 5 days and no problems the top speed moving forward is 23-25 mph and backwards it’s 30 mph it is a good drone for taking photos and videos with the follow me mode is ok but for me it locks on the phone that I’m using but not me the speed in follow me is slow about 5mph I wouldn’t recommend this if you are running or using follow me mode to follow you car when you are driving it I don’t fly it inside because it doesn't have obstacle avoidance I like the lights on it saved me many times from losing it. Anyways really recommend this drone it is the best for under 200!

This drone is truly a great drone. The drone is quick and maneuverable, plus has great GPS positioning. When flying it over open space, the camera streams to the phone with roughly a .5 second delay. Usable in winds up to eight or so miles per hour, but more than that can cause the drone to sway and thus create an uneven flight. The battery life is also very good, and while streaming I get about a 15 minute flight. The flight parameters are 120 meters(393 feet) high, and 400 meters(1312 feet) away from home(GPS takeoff point). The setup of the drone is simple and easy. When cloudy, the drone may take a while to connect to GPS, but I have never had too much trouble getting it to connect. At worst, it took about 2 minutes to connect. And finially, the camera. the camera has great resolution and a good field of view. it is not a full gimbal, because it lacks the ability to rotate left to right. However, the camera does rotate a good 90 degrees up and down, providing for the ability to take a photo looking level with the surrounding land, or looking down onto your land. the great resolution makes for high quality, plus the ability to up the resolution even more by inserting an sd card into the drone. the images on the sd card will be of better resolution than is taken through streaming to the phone. Overall, the Holy Stone 270 is truly a great drone. Definitely would recommend.

UPDATED: I made the foolish mistake of purchasing another one, thinking I must have just gotten a dud. This one lasted 20 minutes until the battery swelled up and was nearly impossible to remove from the unit. My photos compare the swollen one to the other, normal one. The affected battery is now literally sitting in the middle of my backyard because I'm concerned it's going to explode and start a fire. I have no idea how I'm even supposed to return the unit now given this condition and will have to spend even more time jumping through hoops to figure out what Holy Stone/Bolo want me to do with this. Moral of the story, quality control isn't a strength of this brand, and I definitely won't be trying my luck again with this.Original revirw: Really disappointed with this unit. Before you can fly it, you have to calibrate it, which involves holding it above your head and spinning around several times looking like a human windmill. It typically takes me four or five tries to get it calibrated, after which I then have to calibrate it horizontally, which makes me look like twice the fool that I already look like to everyone around me. Then, the drone only connects to the app about a quarter of the time, even when all the steps are followed, so I'm not able to take pictures most of the time that I use it. By the time you get the calibration and the app finally configured, the first battery is dead, and to swap the batteries you have to repeat all of the steps already listed above, so you end up with only about 20 minutes of actual fun flying time before having to charge the batteries which takes about eight hours total for the two of them. I will be attempting to return this and will not purchase another.

Excellent beginner drone! I have had 2 other drones, and they don't compare to this one at all! Good picture quality for the price. I can't wait to buy the next one and probably won't be switching brands after seeing this kind of quality from a cheaper model they offer. GREAT PRODUCT!

Flew great the first day and got a few good photos, but then it started acting glitchy. After researching, I thought it would be a good unit, even though I had read about the possible erratic issues. I bought it to take on vacation to do some hiking photos with my family. We didn't even get to use it on the trail. The GPS wouldn't connect where we were so we just used the wifi connection. It went up it the air for about thirty seconds and took off in to the woods. We tried looking for a couple hours but never found it. Very disappointing to buy and lose a brand new drone in two days. It would be better if it at least had a crash alarm to find it or a tracker. I've never had an issue like this with other drones. I guess you get what you pay for.

This drone is actually very cool and easy fairly easy to learn. The only reason I’m not giving it a better rating is because the lack of accessories. Mostly that you can’t find any replacement propellers. Customer support said that it’s not discontinued but they only have two packs of propellers and they’re not listed on the website. If they can provide a link or tell me what parts are interchangeable with the 440g I’d gladly give a better rating. The drone is very easy to set up and start learning. The camera is pretty good quality and love the tilt of it. Please make more replacement parts.

Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis
Die Transporttasche ist stabil und wertig, die Anleitung ausführlich und sogar zweisprachig gut verständlich. Die App ohne Firlefanz bringt alles mit was es braucht und ist einfach in der Bedienung. Solange man in der Nähe (<50m Distanz) in einer "nicht WLAN-verseuchten" Gegend fliegt ist der Betrieb der HS440G wohl so sicher wie bei anderen ähnlichen Produkten. Weit weg geht ja sowieso nicht wenn man sicher fliegen will, da man bei dieser Grösse sonst schnell die Fluglage nicht mehr richtig einschätzen kann. Die Kamera ist in die Ferne etwas unscharf, die besten Bilder gelingen auf 4-8m Distanz. Der Gimbal (dafür steht das "G" in HS440G) erlaubt auch stabile Videos ohne Gerüttel. Die Drohne ist in der Lage die Position auch bei leichtem Wind <10 kmh stabil zu halten. Die Flugdauer mit einer Batterieladung ist mit 20-30min genügend, die Ladung dauert mit 180min allerdings lang und Zusatzbatterien sind sehr schwierig zu bekommen (nur aus USA und China erhältlich) - für mich ist dies der einzige Negativpunkt. Für meinen Anwendungszweck Inspektion und Dokumentation von Dächern und PV Anlagen ist die HS440g perfekt und löst damit eine KF-102 ab, die 3 Jahre lang gute Dienste geleistet hat und leider nach einem Absturz auf einem Motor lahm war. Eine Reparatur wäre zwar möglich gewesen, da Ersatzteile immer noch erhältlich, hätte aber mehr als 2h gekostet und die Drohne wäre damit auch nicht neu geworden. Dies ist mittlerweile meine fünfte Drohne in 8 Jahren, eine uralte Hubsan und eine etwas neuere E99 bilden aktuell das Backupteam. Ich glaube nicht, dass ich mit DIJ Produkten besser fahren würde.
Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis
Für den Preis ist die Drone echt gut.Sie ist ideal für Einsteiger, damit kann man gut fliegen lernen und nebenbei auch Fotos und Videos machen. Die Qualität ist für Handy und Tablet ausreichend.Die Flugeigenschaften sind nicht so besonders, wenn Wind weht. Ansonsten ist es für diesen Preis OK.Ersatzakku bekommt man direkt auf der Internetseite von HOLY STONE.
Keine Verbindung mit App möglich
Mit großer Vorfreude habe ich die drohne bestellt. Akku aufgeladen, drohne und Fernbedienung verbunden, kalibriert und es sollte losgehen. Leider funktioniert die App nicht. Natürlich kann ich mich mit dem WLAN der drohne verbinden. Und in der App wird auch die Kalibrierung vorgenommen. Danach bleibt die App im keine Verbindung möglich Modus. Geht dann heute zurück.
Akku bereits nach 3 Ladezyklen defekt
Der erste Flug dauerte ca. 4min; danach hielt der Akku nur noch jeweils 1min durch, obwohl er fachberecht geladen wurde. Beim Start der Drohne fehlte schon ein Balken in der Ladeanzeige, und kaum war sie in der Luft, leitete sie aufgrund von schwachem Akku bereits eigenständig die Landung ein. Die Drohne selbst ist sicher nicht schlecht. Aber ein Schwachpunkt ist definitiv, daß es keine Ersatzakkus gibt.
