The pencils are good- feel good in my hand and it erases well too! It is recommended NOT TO USE A SHARPENER- to use a utility knife instead. I’m not good with a utility knife so I can’t get it sharp enough so I used the pencil sharpener anyway. Then I also tried some sandpaper. Some sets have the sandpaper in them & sharpeners. Personally I’ll buy those separate cuz I REALLY like this set!The buffers and erasers are wonderful- several sizes. This is a very nice set! Hho
