After shopping online and in-store for several months, I decided on this machine. It’s smaller than many I’ve seen and perfect for smaller spaces and/or limited countertop areas. I was looking for something that wouldn’t clutter my countertop; this is perfect. The size along with its self-cleaning feature were the primary reasons I chose this one over others.It’s easy to use and maintain. I’m the only person in my house who needs a constant source of ice so I only make ice every other day. Yet, it’s great when I need more or have guests. It makes ice quickly, and the cubes are the perfect size for cocktails on the rocks.I immediately freeze what I’m not using. This machine is not a refrigerator, so it’s important to freeze the ice right away, otherwise, you’ll be stuck with a bunch of ice cubes frozen together. Also, the machine isn’t too loud or disruptive.If you’re on a budget, your wallet will appreciate this purchase. I snatched it up quickly when the price dropped, but I honestly wouldn’t have any complaints about paying more. I recommend.

The ice machine was a life saver for my taco party. It produced ice all night long and we never ran out of ice. You do have to check the machine frequently to make sure the water reservoir is at capacity to make ice. The machine so far has functioned well and is easy to transport.

The speed of this machine is impressive — it makes ice cubes every 6 to 8 minutes and fills the included basket in about an hour. I really like that the ice cubes are smaller, which makes them perfect for fitting into my water bottle. The machine automatically shuts off when the water runs low, which is a helpful feature. The only downside is that it doesn’t keep the ice cold once it’s made — so if the room is warm, the ice will start to melt in the basket.

Really like it. It is small, works well, makes little ice cubes. While my refrigerator/freezer has an ice maker this helps when I need more ice. Quick too, relatively quiet.

I got this to make ice to fill ice packs while recovering from surgery, but now that I no longer need those it's still running just about 24/7 because it's summer and boy, is it nice to have all this ice! (My fridge doesn't have an ice maker.) It makes bullet ice, not pebble ice, but the ice is much softer than I expected and I like it. So far I've had no trouble though I think it could be a bit easier to clean. I should have gotten one of these ages ago; I don't know what I will do without it if I have to turn it off now!

We are ice crunchers; all 3 of us in our household. My Mother-In-Law loves ice and so do I, so we were purchasing a ton of bagged ice from the local convenient store. This can really add up! We have a refrigerator ice maker/dispenser but our town has super, hard water and the ice just doesn't taste good, so we've been buying bagged ice for quite awhile. Saw this little ice maker for sell and for the price, we thought it would actually pay for itself after a couple of days so we ordered it. We've had it since this past summer and it has been running basically non-stop ever since. We do use a filter pitcher for the water we put in the machine. I don't know the consistency of the ice just using straight tap water but the ice from the filter pitcher comes out as a "soft" ice, which we all really like. It is a small machine and has a small basket. It has an indicator light that tells when the basket is full and ready to be emptied. It makes the ice pretty fast so doesn't take long to fill the basket up. The ice is soft enough that we simply empty it into our refrigerator ice maker bucket and dispense out of the ice dispenser. It has a setting for self cleaning that works great and a small plug that can be pulled out on the bottom of the machine to drain the water after the cleaning cycle is finished. I simple take a light, soapy rag and wash out the water tank and then rinse it out with clear water and it's ready to "fire" up again for more ice. It has paid for itself over and over again. May have to invest in a larger ice maker down the road but this was a perfect machine to test out first. It is portable so if you want to take it with you in an RV, Cabin, Camping, Tailgate Party, it would actually be a nice addition to these activities too!

I wanted a small ice maker in my office to help me keep cool while sweaty gaming. This is perfect for that task and saves me many messy trips to the freezer. It's true that the ice tray is a bit fiddly and the operation is a little noisy, but I can't ask more of a $50 mini ice maker. Great value at this price point.UPDATE: After using this for some time, I became so annoyed by the noise factor, the time it takes to start, and the heat it releases into the air that I found myself reluctant to turn it on. It also takes up quite a bit of counter space, and frequently needs to have leftover water dumped out (unless you want gross-tasting ice). It didn't turn out to be as practical as I originally thought, so I'm bumping it down a star. I ended up donating it to Goodwill when moving house.
