Description:
Sweetness is meant to be enjoyed. That's why Truvia created products meant to reduce sugar, not taste. Truvia Allulose Sweetener is simply one ingredient with zero calories per serving. It provides a similar taste and texture to traditional sugar. Allulose is 70% as sweet as sugar. It contains around 0.4 calories per gram compared to the 4 calories per gram found in sugar. Researchers have found that allulose has minimal to no impact on blood glucose or insulin levels. Truvia Allulose Sweetener is a great sweetening solution for those wishing to reduce sugar while still enjoying their favorite foods and beverages. 1 tablespoon of allulose sweetens like 2 teaspoons of sugar. When baking, approximately 1 1/3 cups of allulose sweetens like 1 cup of sugar.

It is a natural sweetener, you don't use much, a little goes a long way and NO CALORIES.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great sugar substitute.
The best substitute for sugar that I have found so far. Use it mainly on my breakfast Cereal.

Fabulous product, mixes well in everything hot or cold
5.0 out of 5 stars My sweet, sweet savior!
TL;DR: It's sweet enough and there's really no aftertaste. It's natural vs. some chemical concoction. It's powdery and works well in almost everything and finally, it just tastes good! I highly recommend it.____I'm trying to change my dietary lifestyle. Sugar is really bad, plain and simple but makes almost everything taste good/better. Diabetes runs in my family. I really don't want to go there, but I'm also an "I want to live my life" kinda guy. I don't want to eat grass and nuts because I'm scared to eat what I really want like ice cream, cake, candy, pie, etc. (all the sweets!). I absolutely detest the aftertaste of pretty much every non-calorie/low-calorie sweetener and I'm terrified of the chemical ones. When I heard of Allulose, I begrudgingly tried it because most people claim that it tastes good and has no aftertaste, but when Stevia came out everyone was like "ohh it tastes good, etc.", it doesn't!! I was so delightfully surprised. While it is a bit less sweet in comparison to regular sugar and way less sweet vs. some of the keto/diabetes friendly stuff (monk fruit, stevia, etc.), not having any aftertaste for me means the world. It's also powdery vs. granular so it mixes into things wonderfully. So far I've made ice cream, egg custard/pudding/flan and cheesecake with it and they are all delicious. There are 2.5 cons so far, first of all, it's expensive compared to regular sugar but worth it for better health imho. The second thing is (and this is a crappy one, lol) that if you are heavy handed with it and end up using 'too much' at once or consuming over a given amount for a certain time period (based on your body), just stay home or at least prepare for repeated potty visits. I heaped 2 tablespoons into a 24oz cup of coffee frappe I made and had to use the bathroom about 4 times within ~12 hours but your mileage may vary and this may not happen to you. Suffice it to say, 5g is a normal serving and 54g per day is supposed to be trouble free at normal body weight. I'm a big guy and it totally blindsided me as I figured I could manage more than just 30g. Finally, the .5 is, while it's natural, it's still so new (to market as of only ~2015) that we really don't know if it's doing something funky inside of us. We know what all the sugars do and are capable of as we've been eating it forever. The short term results do seem to outweigh the potential long term 'issues' though, at least for the time being.I highly recommend it.
4.0 out of 5 stars Sweet and Heart Friendly
Truvia tastes good in cold beverages and as a topping for fresh fruit that isn't so naturally sweet. I didn't like the taste in my baked goods like cookies and brownies, but it was okay for tomato sauces and puddings. A little goes a long way, so it's a good value for the money and you can always mix it with real sugar if you want to cut calories.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good sugar alternative
I am a diabetic and my doctor suggested using this in place of regular sugar. I like the easy pour pouch. I feel the price I got it for was fair.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works like sugar
This tastes and performs (via cooking and baking) just like sugar but without the calories. No perceived aftertaste. Pricier than sugar, but good health is worth it!
5.0 out of 5 stars Expensive. Lasts a reasonable amount of time.
This is a healthy and most natural of any sweetener other sugar. It is natural and not artificial. I wish it was used in sugar free beverages. Instead of artificial sweeteners used in U.S. beverages.
