Love it for a list of reasons and one being it’s a Bond-mobile, it’s an Aston Martin DB5, it’s a Revell and it’s also a classic. I really enjoyed building this 007 classic model car. Was not a simple task but was not difficult either. Great for a beginner like myself. My first build. And I’m pretty much a meticulous type of person so this was rewarding.

I grew on James Bond, and GOLDFINGER was mind-blowing for me. I had to get this model, because 1) my Corgie model was painted hold and I lost the North Korean ejector passenger; 2) I met John Stears, a very gentle fellow who trained as a jewelsmith at Harrow College, UK, and went on to do scale model work on shows like OUTLAND, and full size gadget-graced wonders like the AM DB5.The kit, by the great Revell company, loses a star for:no engine compartment,no ejector seatno opening doors. bonnet or trunkand the wheels once mounted get wobbly.I'd pay another 20 bucks to see these issues eliminated.I am making it my life's work to restore the ejector seat, because I never joke about my work, 007.A removable roof panel is supplied. It just begs modding.And this is a snap-fit kit! Little or no glue! Great for working with your kids.

Very poorly made, none of the parts fit or snap together like it’s supposed to. I threw it in the trash out of frustration

Bond's Aston Martin with modifications
I've been addicted to this iconic vehicle since seeing the Airfix kit for the first time in the window of a hobby store in 1966 as I wasn't old enough to see the actual movie.Since then, I've bought EVERY known available iteration from various manufacturers (including Lego :-) and often in multiple quantities in my efforts to build the definitive version.While IMHO, the Airix version is still the definitive plastic model kit version, (and even included details such as Bond's personal arsenal case as well as commando spikes which were never shown in the movie) sadly the original molds were destroyed in a warehouse fire and thus it can never be re-issued again.However, I was pleasantly surprised with this Revell "Easy-click-system" kit offering which enables even beginning modelers the opportunity to achieve great results without glue and only minor painting.And don't let the "snap-together" stigma dissuade you as the fit, finish, accuracy and detail of this kit is top-notch, and rivals some earlier renditions (such as Aurora's Super Spy Car).The Bond "modications" can either be depicted deployed or in their stock condition and being a "snap-together" kit, it allows you to change the configuration as desired (although I bought 2 kits to display them separately).However, this is a "curb-side" kit so the hood and trunk are molded closed and sadly, although the roof panel is removable, the ejection seat itself is non-working :-(All in all, I enjoyed this kit and I recommend it to all Bond and Aston Martin afficionados!
