I purchased this a while ago to keep in my backpack and when I first got it, I was surprised at how lightweight it was. My only complaints with it were the rubber grip it came with and a rattling sound from inside the bat. I ended up taking off the rubber grip and replacing it with layers of athletic tape but I couldn't get rid of the rattling sound. Nothing detrimental but it was bothering me so I ordered a new one.

The aluminum bat has a solid feel but feels also well balanced. Has a rubberized grip great for handling it. And it feels hefty enough to be used as a self defence tool

It's a good bat, especially for those who need something lightweight that won't slow them down during an altercation. That said, I think the bat could use a little more weight on its end but this is easily addressed by wrapping electrical tape around it.

Bought them for my wife and daughter for protection. The ladies have a sense of calm and relief having the bats for deterrent in their cars and homes. To paraphrase my daughter: she might hesitate in shooting an attacker, but she more than willing to commit battery.
