This is just another magnificent book from Warren like all the rest. Easy to read, well organized, and wonderful information. This will help anyone have a far better understanding of their Bibles and will make it much easier for those who are feeling too intimidated or overwhelmed when they try to pick up their Bible to read it.

This book will be such a great ad to your collection. I have a struggle reading the Bible. This book breaks it down and hits all the important points and more. After reading half way I've been abel to go back to my Bible and have such a great time reading with a little bit more understanding. A great book for yourself and even greater book to gift to someone who may or may not want it in that moment but then will realize how great of a read it is.

This book provides great insights into the history, and make up of the most popular book of all time. I’ve learned a ton already, and I’m only through the first five chapters. If you’re looking to deepen your understanding of the Bible, including its writers, and what God wants to teach us about him, this book is for you. Even if you think you already know a lot about the Bible I can virtually guarantee you you’re going to learn things you didn’t know by reading this book.

First, the style of writing seems to reflect the general naivety I had around my faith as I grew up in the church. First thing that gave me pause. The mindset of many churchgoers is "plastic" as opposed to a vital, living, personal faith.And secondly (and most damningly), Genesis is NOT history. It's a richly symbolic narrative detailing God's goodness, in BOTH male and female form, how it went off the rails, and the beginnings of the rescue mission in the chosen family.I unfortunately can't have any real faith in the scholarship of this work. Whoever believes this will take in a layer of brainwashing that will prevent their capacity for going deeper and asking the most difficult of questions of their faith.Sorry. I don't want sissy faith.

If you have questions about the Bible or are new to it, this book is exactly what you need. Very clearly written and easy to understand. It is helping me tremendously on my Christian journey.

Warren did an outstanding job of putting this resource together. It is well-written and organized. I have already been sharing it with my kids to get quick overviews of certain chapters in the Bible. You'll be grabbing this book off the shelf very frequently.
