Fuse box is in rear seat and not close to the dash cam. Was able to hide most of the wire except for the voltage control box. You will have to buy your own fuse tap kit. Wiring could easily be extended and I likely will in the future to hide more of mine. Was able to hide almost all of the wiring except for in a few spots that I showed in the photos

Camera fried in the sun and now I am stuck with this product as well. It was over 150 invested in the camera and hardwire kit and now it's trash. Only after three months.

Have it on the 12.4v setting, the camera cuts almost immediately after the car is shut off, protecting my battery from being drained by the dash cam staying on. Works well so far.Does not include fuse line inserts, make sure you have some or order some.

To make this work you need to buy fuse taps and even for a small car the cables going to the fuse box were too short. On a plus side, it does have an in-line voltage regulator to cut off the camera and protect your battery.Update: Viofo customer service helped me get the fuse taps I needed. Great service.

Came with dash cam package but was more trouble to install and use as designed. I opted not to use in favor of 5500 mAH USB backup battery.

What good is a separate hardwire kit that also requires an additional accessory of an "add-a-fuse"? Every other hardwire kit I've ever bought includes that necessary piece. It's cheap and greedy of them to not include it.

Easy to install. The price is not over priced but they could have added the Add A Circuit leads and fuses. You have to buy them separately. They don't even tell you in the instructions what amp fuse to tap into. after submitting a customer service asking that question, they did get back me a day later. 5-20 amps. I chose 5 amps to be on the safe side but had to buy those fuses too. The cord is about 4 feet too short for a 4 series BMW because the fuse box is in the trunk. It measures about 13 feet. I had to buy extra cord and an adapter to join it together. I ran along the floor and door jamb up the pillar to the cam. I set it to 12 volts to cut off and I haven't had it cut off yet. Time will tell if it works or if it drains my batter.
