They are very similar but different. This rechargeable battery one has louder beeps, works about the same but to me towards nearing the recharge time it’s a bit weaker than the 9V when wearing down, both last around the same duration. This unit is lighter so it might be nicer to use if clipped onto pants. Both older & new style are identical in size. I’m wondering how long this rechargeable battery is going to last? Con: There is NOT an opening to put in another rechargeable battery if/when the time comes. A new unit would need to be purchased. 2. The charging cord is ridiculously short! But I’ve plenty of electrical charging cords around & it fit my old phones cord, standard normal cord.

Me parece excelente ya que se puede cargar mediante el cable y no hay que comprar baterías cada vez que se le acaben las pilas. (solo trae el cable, pero se puede conectar al adaptador de corriente qué usamos para cargar el teléfono. etc.)

I ordered this as I have back problems. It can be used for leg, shoulder, knee or just about any part of the body due to the pads that are included. It helps eliminate the stiffness in my lower back. I’ve also used it on my knees, as due to having them both replaced they tend to bother me and thus sure helps relieve the discomfort.

My lower back pain has been significantly reduced by this device. I spent many years abusing my back to get into this condition, and have tried numerous remedies to alleviate my suffering, and so far stretching and the use of this TENS machine have been the most successful. The only real issue is that the instructions pretty much assume that I'm a trained and experienced professional physical therapist and programmer. I'm not, so I have had to experiment with different programs and settings until I find what works. Once I found the magic formula, however, I'm practically pain free.If something were to happen to this marvelous machine, I'd buy another immediately.

Ok, 1 side is going out. I use this multiple times a day. My first unit was 9v battery, still going strong. This one, the right side operation going in and out. Stays charged but not as good as the battery operating unit.
