But I finally upgraded to the Neakasa M1, and the difference is night and day. I’m truly impressed.This unit just works. No odors, no daily scooping, and it actually saves on litter. I use Slide Clumping litter, and it performs flawlessly in the M1. The waste bin holds a lot, and the included liners last a long time. I even tried regular kitchen drawer bags — they worked, but I’ll keep buying the M1 liners since they fit perfectly and the app alerts me when it’s time to change them.The smartphone app really stands out. It tracks usage, monitors litter levels, and even tells me the weight of each cat — an awesome feature for keeping tabs on their health. I have two cats: Jasmine (just over 10 lbs) and Tigz (2.86 lbs). The unit registers both of them reliably, and I was able to switch the weight display from kilograms to pounds with no issue.I originally ran it in manual mode because Tigz was under the 3 lb threshold. It tracks usage history, cat weight, and litter levels, and it’s incredibly easy to use. (Initially, I couldn’t find a way to switch from kilograms to pounds, but that’s now resolved.)The unit is very quiet and does a fantastic job keeping the box clean. I’ve tried other automatic litter boxes, and this is by far the best one I’ve used.Highly recommended!

Purchased in 12/2024Had been considering getting this or the Whisker Litter Robot 4. Found this one after a review from “One Man Five Cats” on YT (I highly recommend his videos if you are in search for in-depth reviews on automatic litter boxes and are torn between different brands)I chose this one for the affordability and the open front, since I have 3 cats — 11 lb, 14 lb, and a 5 lb kitten — so I needed a litter box that could fit a wide range of cats comfortably, wouldn’t break my pocket and had a large waste bin capacity.I actually love this litter box and recommend it to every cat owner I know! Entrance is low enough and large enough that my kitten and my two adult cats can enter. It’s built well, and it’s easy to take apart and clean.I highly recommend to turn on the automatic cover setting to help stifle any smells and avoid any extra smearing. Extending the time from when the cat leaves the litter box to when it dumps (mine is set to 8 minutes) will also keep it cleaner which will reduce how often you need to clean the machine.If you have a cat that tends to pee on the sides of their litter box, it is essential to put the seam stickers on. My partner recommended I use silicone to line the seams once the stickers fall off, which so far they have held on wonderfully but that will be my next step. I plan on also taking it a step further and use a sealant spray to help the litter roll right off.The amount of litter bags that come with the machine is a generous amount, they have lasted me 5 months and I still have some left — mind you this is with 3 cats who avg 10 to 18 litter box trips a day! The open front makes it super easy to refill the litter before work.The box is easy to assemble, parts just click on, and app is easy to navigate, even allowing a cleaning reminder so it doesn’t get gross. It gives a great peace of mind with the amount of cats I have since I work 24 hour shifts. I never smell the dumped litter until I have to open the waste bin to change it.I will say that the app does seem to have trouble detecting which of my cats are using the litter box, if tracking specific cats bathroom usage is important I would say the app still has a long ways to go before it’s more accurate.I wouldn’t recommend this for cats that dig a lot, at least until they come out with a barrier that can attach to the front, my one cat digs a lot and gets litter everywhere.Overall, I still give this a 5/5 as it fits my lifestyle well.

Ik gebruik deze kattenbak nu een paar maanden en ben zeer tevreden. Mijn grotere kater wilde niet in een ander gesloten (en goedkoper) model, met de open bovenkant van deze bak is dat geen issue. Soms ligt hij zelfs in het schone grind te slapen.De kwaliteit van de Neakasa is een stuk beter, makkelijker schoon te maken en te vullen in vergelijking met de andere gesloten automatische kattenbak die ik heb. De oude staat er nog wel maar de katten gebruiken hem niet meerEen paar voordelen die ik heb ervaren:Van 3 bakken naar 1: Met twee katten die niet naar dezelfde bak wilden (en dan een protestplas naast de bak gingen doen, ondanks het dagelijkse schoonmaken) is dit een hele opluchting. Ze willen nu _eindelijk_ dezelfde bak gebruiken.Minder kattenbakvulling: Het gebruik van grind is drastisch verminderd, wat scheelt in kosten en gesjouw.Gebruiksgemak: Het legen en vervangen van de opvangzak gaat makkelijk en soepel. En geen vieze lucht meer waar ik steeds met mijn neus boven moet hangen. Schoonmaken is ook eenvoudiger omdat er geen vastgeplakte resten in de bak zitten.App: Hoewel de app leuk en stabiel is, zie ik het meer als een gimmick. De gebruiksstatistieken zijn niet heel nuttig als je katten ongeveer even zwaar zijn.Als hij vandaag stuk zou gaan, zou ik morgen meteen een nieuwe kopen.

We have two cats, and previously had two huge, uncovered, clean litterboxes for our flat. One of our cats is extremely picky, so we had to scoop after every single poop, even if only one litterbox was used. This meant that, while we were at work, if either pooped in a litterbox, this cat would pee all over the floor 2 hours later because he was mad at his own single poop from 2 hours ago. This litterbox has changed our lives.I did a lot of research on self-cleaning litterboxes before buying this. I had a spreadsheet and am fairly confident I researched every single major brand and option on the market, so I felt confident about this one. It's safe to say I don't regret it.Both of our cats took to this day one with few issues. Our picky cat is very large (nearly 6kg) and we were concerned about the size, but he doesn't care at all and has no trouble using it. I was also concerned about the safety for our tiny, very curious cat (about 2.5kg), but this thing is brilliant. It stops the cleaning cycle the second she so much as glances at it, so she quickly loses interest and she's always safe. It has no trouble detecting her very tiny paws on the edge, not even in the box directly.This thing cleans well. It has handled diarrhea with no issues. Use a high quality, fast clumping litter (we've been using World's Best Cat Litter - cannot recommend it enough). It's not as good as I've seen others say at handling smells, so I recommend throwing in some bicarbonate into the waste collection tray to help.Addressing some issues I've seen:-Frequency of changing the collection bag: This is true. The collection tray does not hold as much as they claim. That being said, honestly cats don't want you to leave it for that long, and changing the waste collection bag once every 5ish days (for two cats, one of which pees a lot) is still way better than scooping poop by hand 3x/day. It's also a fairly painless process.-Set up: This is also true, the set up was a nightmare and to get it to work we had to not only split out our 2.4Hz and 5Hz signals, we had to change the name and password of the 2.4 so it didn't have any symbols. Annoying but ultimately a one-time bother.-Waste getting stuck to the inside of leaking through the gaps: Neither has ever happened to us, could be an issue of using low-quality litter. Also, they provide extreme high-quality, strong silicone tap as an extra preventative measure for the leaking, so definitely use them.-The cleaning cycle wastes too much litter: This is the complete opposite for us. We were shocked at how LITTLE it's been using, we've been going through way less than our manual scooping since we don't need to change it as often! I think this might also be an issue of using lower-quality litter.-App not tracking usage: We've never had this problem. We set up a camera for the first few days (I was nervous about the safety for our smaller cat), and not only did it record every single usage, it even recorded when they were just sniffing around for 10 seconds or so. The only problem I've noticed is that the weight sensor, while generally accurate, isn't perfect - it fluctuates up to 0.5kg every day. This isn't really a problem for us as our cats are about 3kg apart, so it can always tell who they are, but I'm not sure it would work that well if your cats are the same weight. But this is a feature I'm personally not too fussed about.-Not being able to look at your cat(s)'s bowel movements daily (for health monitoring) - I genuinely don't understand this one. Yes, there is a feature where you can seal the waste bag without looking at it, but just don't use that then? If you want to check on this, just open the waste tray daily and take a quick glance, you'll be able to see everything. Totally a non-issue, I promise.Overall, this is cheaper and safer than other models, and better for a cat evolutionarily than enclosed styles. We love it so far and can't recommend it enough.

Ho acquistato questa lettiera per i miei due gattini poco più di un mese fa e sono molto soddisfatta. Scaricata l’applicazione è tutto molto intuitivo e funzionale. Al momento ho dovuto inserire la modalità gattino perché i miei cuccioli pesano ancora troppo poco (hanno solo 4 mesi), ma quando peseranno poco più potrò sfruttare la modalità automatica, e sarà ancora più comodo il tutto. Funziona alla grande, la sabbia agglomerante permette una pulizia ottimale e il cattivo odore si diffonde molto meno che con una classica lettiera. I miei micini hanno imparato subito a usarla, hanno sempre un posto pulito dove fare i bisogni e io la adoro perché è comodissima! Smonto e lavo la parte principale circa una volta a settimana/ ogni 10 giorni, così da mantenere la lettiera pulita. Il serbatoio al di sotto è capiente, i sacchetti resistenti (ne arrivano due grossi rotoli inclusi nella confezione). Cambio sacchetto circa una volta a settimana, ma immagino dipenda sia dalla frequenza con cui viene usata la lettiera, sia dalla età/dimensione e numero di gatti in casa. La app permette anche di tenere d’occhio quante volte i gattini usano la lettiera e la “bilancia” interna permette di distinguere i gatti. C’è da dire che non è un macchinario piccolissimo, è un po’ ingombrante e deve restare attaccato alla corrente elettrica e al Wi-Fi (una banda 2.4ht), ma è silenzioso e funziona a meraviglia. Se durante la pulizia automatica il gatto salta dentro incuriosito la macchina si blocca in automatico, perciò è molto sicura. Fa risparmiare molti soldi, tempo ed energia.5 stelle, vale l’investimento! Super consigliato!

The media could not be loaded. What is good about this is the wide area for my cat to enter.. Only need to change the bag every two weeks. I do however add baking soda into the waste bin often. I’ve had it for months and love it for making my life easier. Also the Singapore dealer is highly knowledgeable and supportive.Only thing is the warranty in Singapore is a year but in the UK it’s two years. The discrepancy I don’t understand..I have to edit my review… 11 months into it and the thing is giving problems. The red light refuses to go off. It keeps on saying waste bin is full although it is not in fact it is empty. I have tried everything possible, and there is no alternative to reset it. The supplier in Singapore does not exist. I had to contact nikasa.com.. which is situated in China they do not have anywhere in Singapore to honor the warranty. This is sickening. I feel so cheated. They said they would send me the sensor to replace it. And the shocking part of it is that I am supposed to turn it over unscrew and glue and stick the new sensor on. This is absolutely crazy and unacceptable. I am not a technician. It comes with a warranty and I should be able to take it somewhere to get it repaired. I am so frustrated. I am currently asking Bolo for a full refund.It worked efficiently for 11 months, reduced my workload, and I was happy with it until this happened
