This is my fourth Keychron keyboard, having previously purchased and used a K5 Pro, a Q6 Pro and a V6 Max. I installed Gazzew Boba U4 silent tactile switches and Keychron OSA keycaps, which added another $120 to the total cost, but I have been extremely happy with the overall feel after having used it daily for the past several weeks. It is a very heavy keyboard, weighing in at close to 5 pounds, but the weight provides a solid feel and sound when typing. The VIA website (caniusevia.com) does require a Chromium-based Windows browser (e.g., Chrome or Edge) to remap the keys, but it is straightforward enough to do once you download the keymap JSON file from the Q6 Max product page on the Keychron website.

The keyboard physically feels nice, but if I cannot change a single thing about it, that's insanely limiting!! The keyboard pairs and connects, but I cannot configure anything no matter how many times I try.Furthermore, an "open source" product that REQUIRES Chromium anything is laughable. Do not use web interfaces that require a proprietary framework for a freaking KEYBOARD CONFIGURATION APP. Why do I need a specific web browser to configure a keyboard?Shame on the software choices. If it worked in any way and allowed me to turn off the rainbow effect, it'd be worth more than nothing.
