Great value for the money spent, i do a lot of work on all my cars and this allows me to know what exactly is wrong with the car and read all my codes, its always comes in handy and ive gotten much use out of it! really easy to use and i would recommend to others.

There are really no clear instructions on how to use, just start pressing the buttons and it becomes pretty obvious. I have a 2001 Range Rover that now and then the check engine light comes on. I usually go to the Land Rover mechanic ($$$$) only to find out the check engine light came on for something simple, such as the gas tank cap not screwed on tight enough. The check engine light came on again, so I decided to save myself some $$$$ and half a day of going to the mechanic to see what the issue was. It coded P1117 (coolant sensor), so I took my Rover to the mechanic, and sure enough, that was the issue! I was able to clear the code on my own, though I won't do so in the future if it is coding something important (which most the time it is, but old Rovers like to be silly over the smallest of things).

Why did you pick this product vs others?:It has produced accurate error codes on modern (post 2020) KIAs and 10-year-old Mazdas. I keep it in my car so when it kicks an error I can immediately check it. No matter where I am. I consider these kind of readers essential. If you have cars older than 5 years old. Cars, not that old will probably not have as many errors.

My engine light came on and rather than take it in for a diagnostic check I decided to purchase this to check it for myself first. Periodically the engine light has come on and it’s always turned out to be an emission leak, aka loose gas cap. This tool allowed me to verify it was just what I suspected, clear the code, and after ensuring my gas cap was secured the light remained off. Well worth the $37, and saved me the time and hassle of taking it into the shop.

This unit gives me alot more I formation than my older one I paid twice as much for. So far it seems to works well, had one code and it diagnosed and was able to clear it and it hasn't returned
