I had been using a command hook on the side of my monitor case to hold my headphones, but the hook was narrower than the headband and wasn't always secure. This hook fits my headphones with room to spare and would probably accommodate even the widest headphone headbands. The hook is made hollow plastic but seems sturdy enough for the job. When the hook arrived I was concerned that it might have broken in transit because there was a small piece floating around in the bag, but that turned out to be a keyhole-shaped piece that easily snapped back into the housing above the hook.Because the hook is squared-off and my monitor case has curved corners, there is a gap between the hook's corner and my monitor's and there is less of the top piece touching my monitor than there might have been. The hook comes with thick foam inserts that have adhesive on both sides. You pull the protective film off of one side and press the foam into the hollow part of the hook housing. After that, you pull the protective film off the other side and stick it to your preferred surface. Because I might want to remove this hook and put it somewhere else, I used command adhesive to hold the hook to my monitor. Don't know whether that will help me if/when I want to move it, but I figured it worth a try.UPDATE: After about 2 months of use, the adhesive on the padding started separating from the hook, causing my headphones to fall. Pressing the hook back into place did not help, so I have resorted to craft glue to attach the hook to the foam. I expect that will solve the problem in a durable fashion. Still giving 4 stars because the cost was reasonable, but disappointed in the adhesive durability.
